    For my in-laws 50th we went to one of the nicer restaurants in town and reserved a banquet type room. Good lighting, big stone fireplace, and we had the room to ourselves. Discussed how we were on a budget, they came up with a menu to meet our needs. Scheduled this for like a Sunday brunch when they weren't to busy. Even printed my in-laws names and Happy 50th on the menus. Than we got a bunch of pictures and scanned them and recorded Bon Jovi "It's My Life" and Alan Jackson's "Remember When" to the pictures and played on the lap top. Did a time line thing, first pictures of them dating and up through time to the present. My father in law actually cried a little, lol. Had a cake, and all the family managed to get there. Good time. Oh yeah, the place was City Range, cost was $15.00/pp, we had about 35 people attend.

    Well, hell I am depressed now. Yours sounds pretty darn good, where is all the spitting / popping / farts / backfire sounds like mine does? At least mine does all that for the first 10 minutes until it warms up and then calms down.

    Sounds like high school marching band got him. My 3 girls played flute, french horn, and trumpet for the local high school marching band, once they graduated they never played again. We did pay for private lessons, instruments, band camps, etc.

    As suggested, go to Cozumel and take a local taxi to one of the many great beach's. Paradise Beach is where we went to last December. They have a web site, google it. Paradise Beach was $8-$12 per person, this get's you lawn chairs (chase lounges), table, and umbrella by the beach. This also gets you use of all the non motorised beach toys. Jet ski is extra, like $50.00 for an hour. Taxi fare was $15.00 per car load. At this time it was completely safe, and we had a blast. We did cruise there but I know you can get there from Playa Del Carmen. Have fun, don't travel alone and you will be fine.

    Sony Walkman 8 Gb MP3 player. Love the thing, I have had it a year and a half now and use almost everyday.
