  8. You could order a new cover from Yamaha and do it yourself ,or may be Rick Butler would do it. also most custom car upholstery shops will do it, and add gel pads or new foam if you like. check your yellow pages for shops in or near your location!
  9. Hi all, what is the easiest way to grease the linkage? is there a way to do it in place, or does it need to be removed? the bike is a 2nd gen.

  12. Here you go, Bolt, Button Head 92017-05018-00
  13. A new plug boot can be bought, but not the wire its part of the coil, You are talking 2nd gen?
  14. look between number 1&3 exhaust headers, there are two small inlet lines this were air is injected into the exhaust ports. same thing with front cylinders,
  15. Question, is one of the two cables from gps for a mike if so that plugs into the B.R. unit other one should be a speaker out which plugs into the 1/8th plug from cassett deck.

  17. THIS IS WHAT I WAS QUOTED IN DEC 2011 ,MZ 506-255 TR at $ 499.00 Gas emulsion shock with adjustable rebound damping and threaded pre-load adjustment via the spanner wrench. CALL THEM THEY WILL ASK INFO ABOUT YOUR SPECIFICS AND ADVISE FROM THERE.

  19. Hiway peg, rotates 180 degrees?
  20. I think those hoses go to the air filter box openings, right at the D slot there is a a loop for them to go in. kinda like a vacuum for vapors.
  21. try using a ratchet strap to lift slowly back up,long allen to alien whole and damper rod. It worked for me
  22. Fast wear on back pads will happen when fronts are not up to snuff, front bakes should be 80% of stopping power. HH pads will help some.
  23. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think 1998-2003 r-1s will fit . also calipers from late model road stars will fit. As long as they are not radial calipers. Your older brake lines and m/c will work if that is the way you need to go. I would try to find a complete road star set up, m/c lines ,calipers. that way it is plug and play(simple swap)
  24. the one I was looking at has a broken mirror mount, you would not want it ebay has a few available but not at $29.95 look under Yamaha Road Star front master cylinders.
  25. Zac, pinwall has a 14mm m/c for $29.95( buy it now) they claim its the way to go!
