  1. Have 2009 RSV with paint problems on the gas tank and fender. It is two toned red & black. It looks like you have rock chips in the paint, but paint was popping off from underneath on red only. Called Yahama to see if they were having a paint problem on the 09s of course they said no. They said to take it to the dealer that you bought it from. So I did. They said they would order me a new gas tank to replace the old one. Last Monday I got the new tank. Took them a day to get the new gas tank on. Now they have ordered the front fender. Don't know when it will get here. They didn't put the badges on the tank. I kind of like it without them. If you have any paint looking problems don't be surprised because it is popping off from underneath the paint. Especially on the newer bikes. Looked like it had the measels. LOL It looks good now. 2. Congratulations!
  3. First of all I would like to thank Owen and Margaret for a great Maintenance Day. Got done what I needed to do with Brads help. Put in a fuse box and relay for running lights. Now for some reason I blow a fuse I won't have to take off the fearing to replace it. YEEHAH! The food was good and the cheese cake was good too. Boomer missed out. All the yankees did good in the heat. Cause it was a hot day. Val says that she is sorry that she had to leave early and looks forward to the next visit with everyone. Maybe we will get to go to Big Ben in November with everyone thats going. Thanks again, Hal n Val

  5. I have E 3's on my bike with 4100 miles on my bike so they were pretty new. I got a hole right dead center in the rear tire. It was about 1/8th hole. I plugged the tire with my plug kit it held air for a day with no loss. Next day I was on my way home from good friends @ 55 mph. The plug failed. Luckily I didn't go down, and I got the bike stopped kind of sideways by the side of the road. Plugged the tire again headed on home. Got about 2 - 3 miles down the road and the tire went down again. This time it went down a little bit more radicall side to side with the rear end of the bike. Headed for the ditch, I thought that it was better to go into the ditch than into on coming traffic. (as it was a two lane highway) So off to the ditch I went. Went side to side in the ditch too and slid to a stop again with out going down. I don't know if plugging a tire works at all unless you want to ride 10 mph. I don't think it would have mattered I think it would have gone down regardless. Took that tire off and threw it away and bought a new one.

  8. Count us in. Might have to cage it. Still haven't got another new tire for my rear. Since mine went down @ 55mph twice in one day. The second time resulting in going in the ditch. Might have it this week. But don't know if I have the time to put it on. Thanks again to Kregg, Brad & Dave and a stranger named Jamie for the help in getting me home. See y'all there one way or the other, Hal n Val
  9. I guess you should look at whats posted before you post something because this is already here. This wouldn't be legal in Texas, but would be legal in Nevada if you had the license to carry a gun. I think.

  23. Well made it back to Vegas good riding there. Not so good on the way back. First two days on the way back had cross winds to 30 to 40 miles an hour gusts. It was very hard to stay in your own lane. Trailer pulled real well, didn't even know it was there. Had two problems with the bike. First problem was that wind was so strong that the wind turned my running lights to the right and it shorted them out and blew a fuse. Second problem for some reason when you are cruising and you start to go all of the buttons on the radio don't work. The only control I had is the volume knob. I gues you would call that froze. It still plays. I found out that if you pull in the clutch and shut the key off and let the motor die then you can change the station or do whatever you want to with the radio then let clutch out then keep on going. Does anyone have any answers or help for my radio problems? I would like to fix this myself and not send it to the shop. Thanks, Hal
