Which one on is it Craigs List? Thanks

One of my favorite things to do is ride Hwy 41 from Fish Camp into Yosemite Valley listening to Roy Rodgers and Dale Evans, and busting out of that tunnel at Inspiration Point. Now that there is a nice morning.

You're a mean man. Congrats on the new ride.

Thats what most of us use. You can get them at REI or other camping type stores. Two of the 33 oz bottles will get you about 20 miles further down the road in a pinch. Wrap them in towels or something with duct tape and put them in the saddle bags. I would empty them when you don't need them, ie, only fill them on the scary stretches.

Driver painting nails kills biker at stoplight.

Two weeks ago, I was riding down Highway 5 in California doing 80 mph, cruise control on. A lady in an SUV passed me and then slowed down a couple of times. Last time I passed her I looked over to see what was going on....she was knitting a friggin' sweater. -

Which antifreeze to use?
91nwl replied to safetyguy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I use Prestone 50-50 pre-mix, or mix the straight Prestone 50-50 with store-bought distilled water. Honda also has a good pre-mix.- 17 replies

I'm from there and the old timers would say stuff like; If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes, it'll change... There ain't nothin between here and the north pole but a three row barbed wire fence and two of em are broke... etc. I moved to Caifornia a long time ago. Got wildfires, mud-slides and earthquakes now...much nicer.

Anybody who heads out on a road trip on a Norton needs lots of prayers. I watched Easy Rider a couple of days ago. Dumb movie, but those scenes of the guys cruising down the highway are still awesome and make me want to take off and not come back til I'm good and ready.

I remember a magazine test that clocked a 90 VR at 12.78 sec. in the 1/4. That's the same time as the current GL1800. I have an 05 GL 1800 and a 91 Venture. The Goldwing "feels" faster because it has a lot more torque, but the Venture pulls all the way to 7,600 rpm and the GW signs off at about 6,000, so I really don't know which one would win in an all-out race. They're both plenty fast. The Goldwing has a lot more "power" under the curve in the "easy-to-get-to" rpm range, so it is more usable power. But, hey 1300 vs 1800, it's what you would expect.

Stay out of the right lane and on of the left side of the right lane on 2 lanes and you will have fewer flats. I have had none in 15 years on touring bikes. (I know its partly just luck too.) I rode with a group (once) and the dumb group leader kept riding in the right lane so people could keep up or catch up. He would actually ride next to the curb. Drove me nuts. Buncha cry-babies anyway, sure enough, one of em had a flat and we wasted the day. Stopped riding with them.

I found it.

Why? is something going on? I had no trouble getting a place in Banff last summer. Jasper was a little tough. I had to spend one night at Sunwapta Falls...not a bad place.

I stayed in the Red Carpet Inn last summer. It is relatively inexpensive for Banff, a short walk to downtown and not bad.
