Piper Cub shots were great.. OF course I like fast to. I remember as a kid helping my dad redo a Piper for the Cival Air Patrol. We stripped the plane, put on new cloth and then commenced to slapping the dope on. (that was high times as a kid) If my memory serves me the stuff was called Buterate Dope or something like that... Actually did those wings here at the house in the same garage that now houses the TD. Ok, enough of the childhood memories.

And your plans cost how much? Great looking job. I do want to add a trunk so I will be asking/begging for info.... Projest well done!

Have not done anything but lay a piece big enough to do the whole tank up there for color matching. I have several ideas on what I want to make but need to start somewhere. I figured what since I had a whole hide to make things with I would start with the standard mini cover. I think I would rather end up with one that is a modified bib/cover with a pocket that will allow me to see the face of my Blackberry. (not accept unwanted calls) Who knows, I may even think about a white seat.... (not really) But I am considering bag top covers.

WooooHooooo I acquired an off white whole hide of leather today and I would like to make a cover to keep my knees from rubbing the tank. Anyone have one off their bike that would be willing to make me a paper template and mail it to me? Thanks in advance. The white leather looks good on the bike. I will be making a few other covers too and of course will have pics when they are done.

I have an 06RSTD. I keep asking my wife about the comfort. She says that so far the seat is fine. I have a studded mustang set on mine.

You mean we are not supposed to punch holes in walls, break glass windows, drive trucks into ponds or anything else like that to have fun???? Darn!!!!!!!!!! (and my wife says my obsessions are dysfunctional) or is that me she is talking about?

Hate to see the show go. Dad was always a little over the top in my book and Jr. seemed to have most of the real ideas. IMHO Lots of greats looking bike though through the years.

We may just have to buy the stuff and do it ourselves... I have not bought the gauges yet as they are a little lower on my list of wants. If you find someone, let me know, I would love to go watch. Then, when I buy my set, I will be able to help others.

I have the bag slash. These were on it when I bought it and seemed a little too loud. I ordered the baffles and some fiberglass to pack them. Now I am happy as a pig in slop. When sitting or crusing---NICE Rumble ---When I get on it...They get loud. Nice way to get that cages attention, rev the motor.

Some trickle chargers are not as filtered as they need to be.... Thus some small amount of AC still gets through and the leds will light. 60Hz too fast for the naked eye to see most of the time. Probably had it reversed on the charger too. My

How many hammock hangers do we have? I am talking about the camping type with rain fly, underquilts Etc. I have been hiking and camping using a hammock for several years and plan on never going back to the ground while camping except in emergency. My 50 year old back loves me for it. Bigest advantage is: it all fits in my saddlebag.

Looking forward to 12 degrees F in the morning.:snow2: I do still have a mini bike I had as a kid made by Heathkit called the Boonie Bike.... came with a ski attachment for the front wheel.. Did not get it out though.

No pics except avatar right now. Lots of little extras and still growing as wallet receives input. Mustang studded seat with backrest, kury grips, passing lights, saddlebag rails, a few extra chrome covers and bag slash pipes. Nothing major just a bunch of fun working on it. Future: -Add led "back off" lights to the back... tired of hearing tire squeals when I don't run through "pink" lights. -Sewing off-white leather tank cover and tank bag. -trailer hitch/trailer -detachable trunk oh yeah ---- lots more chrome -

OK, I gonna go ahead and say it.... I had a nice little ride this afternoon... Temp was 41. Just could not stand seeing the new (to me) bike just a sittin' there. Boy did it clear the head. Never done much cold weather ridin' before now so I am a learnin' the in's and out's. Sorry, I just had to say it!

Love them. I also have stiletto caps and throttle boss. IMHO, a nice add to my RSTD

Afternoon Guys! This may help. Go into your CP and check add thread replied to to your subscriptions. This way, anytime you post to a thread, it is in your subscriptions for you to refer back to at any time. I am game for either way. I am used to another board that does it this way and to me it actually is a little cleaner in that only the posts you have not read show up. To answer the problem of not reading everything: When you are through reading what you want at that time, then use the mark forums read button. If you have not posted to a thread and you have marked it read, then to see all post for the day, clicking see today's post button will bring up all threads for the day. I hope this helps Any way, My 2Cents. Signed, Too Cold to Ride
