1. Yep, enjoyed it all. Food, Friends and Fellowship. We excorted Warrior to Marion and then hit 40 and came on back. Just a good day for riding. Good to see all of you and meet one new one. Tom
2. Very sharp looking trike!
3. If you decide to ride back a little more west, let us know. Enjoyed meeting you in Cape Canaveral and would enjoy having a cup with you around Charlotte. Ride safe. >>> Just saw your second map.. Coffee is on the agenda. let us know when you head toward Charlotte. I will also let AKRefugee know your passing through.
4. Are you guys sure you have not been ridin' nekked? :Im not listening to:Im not listening to Im just sayin'.
5. Yep, my son and I were both there too. We went just a little further south. Just south of New Smyrna almost at the National Seashore entrance. Same there. Just a flash but we were there. We heard alot more than we saw.. Still Way Cool. Then, back to Ormond Beach for Golf, Baseball, Food, Swimming, and then over to Orlando for a day. Now its back to the real world.
6. As Gomer Pyle once said "Thanky Thanky Thanky" and tell Aunt Bea I said Hey!:thumbsup2:
7. Ok, I guess it must be a "CAVAMEWD" Day soon. Time for mine too. Keep us informed. (Charlotte area valve adjustment meet, eat, work and drink)
8. Thank you. I have been searchin using that and several alternate words and still cant find it. I see losts of comments to do a search for it but no luck in finding the actual TSB
9. Ok, I must just be stupid. I have tried searching for the TSB or letter that has been discussed here. (so I can show it to my dealer that says no to the replacement of the clutch basket.0 I want to take them a copy so I can get the I basket change before warranty runs out. Can anyone that knows where it is send it to me or provide a link. Thank you greatly in advance. Signed "Search Challenged and bug-eyed" :confused24:
10. Just heard this morning that a biker near us here in CLT was killed when a tractor trailer changed lanes and moved over on a biker forcing him to spin out. Biker killed - Truck driver kept going. Law enforcement still looking for truck. Keep the family in your prayers. www.wbtv.com reported it this morning. No update is on the website yet.
11. Be careful- magnetic tank bags can erase mag strip on credit cards!! :Im not listening to:Im not listening to
12. I've been using the standard car seat "gel" pad seat for under $20 from Wally World for some time now. I like it because it wraps over the edge of the seat just enough to stop the little pain inside the legs where they go over the seat. My wife got one for her seat this spring and will not ride without it. We both just got back from a 900 mile Blue Ridge Parkway end to end ride and would/could not have done it without the pad. I have also done an 1100 mile trip to Cape Canaveral and back and it was very welcomed. Yes, it is not designed for a motorcycle but it works. Five Thumbs up. :thumbsup2::thumbsup2:
13. This is one of my personal pet peeves. I have corrected the hanging of the flag at the school I work at multiple times, at multiple businesses and several public locations. Had to send this same info to our media director several years ago when he continued to display flag with field on the right from the back wall on out TV set. He wanted to argue... I was willing. Thank you for bringing it to question. :thumbsup2:
14. Done - Prayers for healing.
15. I know how you can get it there for $200.00 Pay for my food, hotel, entertainment and gas and I will do it for $200.00.. Now, there is not time limit to get it to FL is there? Oh, you don't mind the side trips or mileage do you? My fee for this service is $200.00 and it will be well ridden and in need of an oil change when I get it there. :thumbsup2: Signups for rideing partners for side trips will post soon.
16. WHITE == yes, reflective and pretty!:thumbsup2:
17. Make it a white bike and loose the crown..... That's the ticket!
18. I'd go for that. Us that ride the lowly RSTD would like to show our respect for the trunkless wonders we drive too. (it does not show disrespect to wear both patches does it???):stirthepot:
19. I'm just glad to see that all the PINING has stopped and the ride looks like a go... FIR sure.
20. Post your route when decided... I have two baseball practices sat morn but If your route is a roundie, I might try and catch up somewhere in the midafternoon. Have a great ride if I dont catch up.
21. Sorry to hear about your loss. I feel your pain. Our 12 year old liver Dalmatian was put down midnight Tuesday night after a stroke took his ability to move and function an hour earlier. He worked with special needs kids, always wagged his tail, loved to ride, was a constant companion and was my kids first pet ever picked out by them. Yes, he was just a dog but was always giving to everyone around whether they were a stranger or not. Will we miss him Yes.
22. Does anyone have any of these lying around that they just don't need. It is the gasket/spacer that goes between the OEM muffler and the exhaust pipe on a tour deluxe or venture. I had a pair of Barons Bag Slash on the bike and they were a direct slip on to the exhaust. The OEMs need this gasket/spacer. Please PM me if you do. Part number 27 and 30 in the diagram. http://images.powersportsnetwork.com/fiche/images/YAMAHA/2006/motorcycles/4552_exhaust.gif
23. David, Been there done that and the feeling right after the call is not good. I was however humbled as you when I saw what my wife walked away from and what could have been. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Laura as you heal through this. Tom and Amy
24. Hate to hear that. Hope replacement goes well.
