  1. I appreciate what your son is doing for this country and I appreciate you as the parents for raising such a selfless young man and the leadership you gave him to become such a hero. Any one serving or that has served in the American armed services is a definate hero of the highest caliber to me. SALUTE!!! :thumbsup2::happy65:
  2. Running it low...I think it was about 8 lb as I tried to bring it down from 14 but I can't remember. I fooled with it a bit but got no lower.
  3. We have had two. Everyone said they would be lazy old porch dogs but ours were never still. We lost the first to the meter reader, he slipped out the door and in front of the truck before we could catch him. he was very loving but protective of us and our property. The second one, Mollie, was as funny as any clown but loved to roam. She was an escape artist. We finally put wire mesh underground and tied it off to a 4 ft. chain link fence. She was very near ready to deliver a new batch of pups but still managed to CLIMB the four foot fence and ran when she dropped to the other side. It was months before we found her but she had become the favorite pet of a couple of kids that did not understand us owning her. We let her stay with them and she seemed happy. Great slobbering pets but we keep dachshunds now.

  8. After nearly dumping my 1984 first gen today, I need to lower this beast a bit for my short...ahem...inseam. I can not get both feet flat and it is a lot of weight to hold on your toes. Any ideas. Don't need much but and inch or two would help.
  9. Cool! That looks like my next purchase. Thanks!
  10. It was a beautiful day so I checked my bike out, bathed it, took some pics for the gallery and hit the road. It was a wonderful ride until a heavy crosswind caught me on I-65 and my fake tank top went sailing. I stopped and picked it up and scooted for an exit. Unfourtunately when I pulled off the exit, my short inseam kept me on my tippy toes and it started going down on the right side. :scared: I managed to throw that foot down and after two hernias, stopped the fall and manhandled it back up. How the heck can I lower this thing an inch or two?! I found that the tab on the top had been cracked almost through and the wind finished it. I am going to try some ABS glue. She is still in one piece, no new scratches and I am going to go lay down until all my muscles stop hurting.

  13. Congrats. My son has one and they love it.
  14. My wife bought a 2007 chrysler 300 and loves it. I hate it myself. I drive the s10 4x4 but I really want to finish my 1986 fiero GT project and get me an older truck for a project. something before 73. I would rather be polishing the bikes then the 300
  15. I bought my first full helmet and went down after hitting a deer at 80 first time I wore it. It looked like a 3/4 helmet after the asphalt got it. i still have a face though. No wise cracks, it's the only one I got no matter how it looks. I still wear a full except when it is really hot and then I feel naked. Maybe I WAS naked???!!! Naaaa
  16. I have to let the bitter...er, uh...I mean better half get up first or she takes the chance to kick me in the head!
  17. Keep me informed on Cookeville. That's not far from me in Hendersonville. If Fox17 is not keeping me busy, I'll try to be there.
  18. Bad headlights won't draw the battery down but something has to be. I short in the wiring would cook a wire and you would see smoke or Flame. The battery acc wire goes directly to a relay on that vehicle and the relay is activated by a wire from the switch which is also powered off the direct battery ac wire. neither goes through the acc on the ignition switch, Get on a forum and get the wiring diagram for that vehicle and see if the relay is activating or if maybe there is a short in the relay oe swith. better yet, just give the car to me and you won't have to worry about it anymore. then it will be my problem!
  19. I do the IT work for over 150 desktops and tons of servers and Firefox is on all of them. I also use thunderbird and lightning. They are all free just by going to Mozilla and downloading them. So is the AC adapter if I have the one you need.
  20. I may call on some of you in the spring. I have a lot of friends in the townsend area with motels and some great places to eat. If there are campers in the group, Misty river has some great spots as well as a pavillion. they cook up some great Barbecue there. The campground is right at the entrance to the Foothills so you got a fast track to the tail but I enjoy the ride up through Cades Cove and then on to Gatlinburg before coming back to Pigieon forge and taking wears valley back to townsend.
  21. Tell me the make and model of that laptop and I may be able to make up an AC adapter for ya. I have a few "spares" layin 'round.
  22. A real American and those that supported the dreams are great patriots. My government may scare me but I LOVE this country!
  23. I was just wondering if anyone had any itentions around Nashville. If not I might need to stir something. I also have a camper setup near townsend at the Misty River Campground. I am usually there a couple times a month. I would love to get together with some of you there sometime.
