Here are a few pic's of the new trailer. Have not taken her down the road yet, as I need to license it and install a hitch on the RSV(coming soon). Adjustments are, added 25" to the tonge, flipped the axle over and raised the fenders, added tie down anchors, and built a tonge stand. Now, what ALL do I need for my RSV,too wire it properly to the flat 4-wire harness on the trailer. Is some type of wire converter all I need? After reading through a few posts, I'm a little confused (my life story). Thanks to all that have built a trailer and passed great tips/knowledge on to us. Happy Easter! Byron

I'm with you here. When my RSV is outside idling, I don't smell anything and my dog sits right next to me

OK, I think I got it. I will reverse the bolts in the leave springs(I removed the small one) so the alignment heads are facing up (when the trailer is up right). Then slide the axle in and attach the axle with the flat of the channel down (open side up), the reverse of the design. This HF trailer has 12" wheels and it seems high, so that is reason for flipping my axle. I also will be extending the tongue 22". Anything else I may be forgetting?

When you guys flip the axle over on the trailer to put it on top of the springs, do you still rest it on the flat part (open channel up) or the round shaft side( open channel side down as in manual on the spring? Weld plates on or just drill the shaft to align the spacing? thanks

Would there be any issues with not being able to get these tight enough so they won't vibrate loose? Don't want a bag to come loose.

I just got my V-Twin clamps and have fabricated mounting brackets for the RK Classic muffler (# 98a) install. My ? is, are there exhaust gaskets that i need to purchase? Are there exhaust gaskets at all? I want to make sure I have everthing before I start the change out. Thanks, Byron

What is this plug for?
BCLII replied to SC89Venture's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It is an accessory plug that is hot with the key in the first position like the 12v plug on the left side of the fairing. That's where I wired in my satellite radio saddle. Yamaha doesnt even list or make a male plug end for that plug. I was told by a dealer to just cut it off and wire a new plug in.
