Yep I am in the workers comp situation to bulged 5 lower disks in my back Sept 08 Doctors want to try injections first WC says no so. (they think its cheaper to pay my drug bill runs $1800 month) I live on Lodine,Vicodin, and Skelaxin. Gus I am lucky still at the School District doing repairs and body work to buses. I just work 10-20 min. and when my legs start going numb I sit down for 1hr or so (my release say work as tolerated). Everyone is happy but me. But on the bright side that's how I found this place could not ride my GoldWing but a Venture does not bother my backso here I am.:dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::dancefool:

Mine is in the mail measured .58. Mine is not slipping. I just figure it will 600# load on bike 2 up and pulling a trailer. I figured its just a mater of time and thought I would be ready so no big hurry thanks:fatsmiley:
-
The one I use to pull behind my Goldwing weighted 325 loaded and I ran 25# never had a problem .Also the higher the tire pressure the stiffer the side wall the more tendency of the trailer to bounce, less air pressure allows the side wall to flex and helps smooth out the ride. If you ever looked at the owner manual on a car tow-master tow dolly it shows to run 15# pressure when empty As stated before tire pressures are the max a tire can run safely not the best pressure for the vehicle, be it a car, truck, or trailer.

sure its not under the mat in the right saddle bag

Lights on and back together. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now just make a bumper finish wiring, build a hitch for the bike and off to Leakey Texas on the 24.

New product in the works..need a mock-up part
short-haul replied to 1BigDog's topic in Watering Hole
You looking to make a set of these. This set is 18g stainless just cut 3/4" wider then the opening then bend metal at 45deg 3/8" from end. I made a set that went around the corner and the metal looked kinda like a boomerang before I bent it just took to much metal and time the flat set only took about 4 hr to make and install -
I am going to try behind the plateit is just easery to get to the wiring Thanks:fingers-crossed-emo

Hey where did you guys pick up the wiring on your RSV behind the license plate? or under the seat ? I have a small converter( need to go to 3 wire: LT Turn-Stop, Rt Turn-Stop and Tail Lights) to wire in on mine ( all LED) and I think there is room behind the license plate but have not looked yet.

The signal color will be a lot easier, wish my bike was 1 color. It would have even been nice if the base color under the Pearl was the same as the lower Radical White on the bottom but it was not. So shot the bottom let dry, shot the base White for the Pearl let dry, Shot the Pearl let dry, Shot the silver strip let dry and finally the clear took about 9 hr. Every thing Was fine, I put it by the bike, and got a little upset when and the Pearl looked gold (Pearl are hard to match). It will have to be re shot but that will have to wait till fall now I just want it done so I can use it on the 23 of April to go to Leakey Texas:guitarist 2: and still have a hitch to build and wire the trailer .

looks good so far, I am lucky in Texas it is usually nice enough to paint Painted mine Friday night all night job: 2 base colors, the pearl on top, a silver strip down the middle and finally clear coat now color sanding buffing and putting back together:cool10:

Kbay here is a few pitures of one still together. The black one has 3000 miles on it. The red one had 4000 both were locked up. I have rebuilt the motor for the red one and I Guss it is going to be painted School Bus Yellow. I tried to give the gallon of yellow to squidley to paint his 99 RVS but I Guss he don't like yellow:stickpoke:

short-haul replied to skydoc_17's topic in Watering Hole
Got mine thanks. Now just need to find time to put it in:smash2: -
Well got paint on. Pearl came out a little darker the I had hoped It almost looks green. I should have used a lighter shade of base under it :bang head:O'Well the lower white and silver strip came real close and its only a trailer and in the sun it will look closer to the right color. Now it's time to color sand and buff then put back together. this camera does not show colors as good as my sisters but she took here to Reno

What's the best deal you've found on Craigslist?
short-haul replied to Godlover's topic in Watering Hole
Well I think my venture was a good buy bought a 2004 with 18,000 miles last Sept and only gave $5,000 it already had trunk rack, bag rails, driving lights, cup holder, new tires, just serviced and 3 helmets. The trailer I got last month was not bad eather 2003 Starlight with light road rash for $250.Of course once I get done fixing the fiberglass and painting it and new carpet will have close to $800 in it 2 stage pearl white is not cheep.- 15 replies

If you could find a way to hook up a ICREAM machine in the trailer you would be a hit ever where you went Beer floats sounds all most as good as a banana split

I am still interested the size would be whatever is recommended by the people who have been running CT on RSV. The WW on my bike now is 1 3/4" which I think is standard for RSV tires. I have not run a CT on my RVS yet but was planing on it once I wear out my present tire,and/or I find a spare rear rim to mount it on. I personally would prefer a BFG, Michelin or Firestone. I feel that if the CT was avaible with WW on both sides that there would be a market for them.
-
I believe there is a tech. article on linking the rear to the right front to improve braking. It is something I will probably do in the fall
-
Just seal the sides good, spray in some foam insulation, fill with beer and ice, and tell her is just a small ice chest.
