You Texans need to knock that crap off. I am riding out there early next month and don't want to get my knees cold.

I looked at the venturerider.org pages they had. Found out that I was member #1391 pre crash. The pages looked like the new posts listing for the day, the links go nowhere, but it was great seeing some of the old names there.

I thought I was tough about cold weather riding. And then while I was up at Ft Lewis WA, I saw a guy come out of the shop after dark and brush the snow off his seat for his ride home. Cold is OK, cold and wet is a deal breaker.

I got mine in the other day, but they didn't look like they were lining up right so I didn't put them on yet. How thick is the block you are using? I have the stuff to make that here, and now that I have seen your more detailed pics I will get them on. Thanks

You been ripped off! I do notice that it has the LED next to your select button that shows when the CB is turned on on the US setup. Someone mentioned the JM set up before. We have one on my wife's Kawasaki and it works real well, but it is a bit pricey as well.

I wish you all the best of luck in your retirement plan. We are very fortunate in that it looks like we will be able to both quit the full-time jobs about the same time. I think you will enjoy the ride back home, though. We did something like that last year when I had to be in NJ for work. I rode up, and Elizabeth flew up to meet up with me when it was time to come home. It was a lot more fun than the trip up by myself.

Looks interesting. I would want to know the cost and size before making a commitment though.

Your friend did some beautiful work. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I have the SD lightbar. From pictures it looks the same to me as the ones from Diamond R and R-Mark. I believe that the only option (besides color) from SD is three running and then all on for braking.

Jeff I am glad you clarified somewhat. Was beginning to think I needed to come over and do an intervention. Hope you are staying sane. And no matter what they say, it is possible to come back from the sandbox without having bought a Harley at the PX.

The 765T is bluetooth enabled. It has a microphone built in, not sure if an input cable for it would work.

I have a 765T and also a Lowrance IWay 500C. The pro for the 765 is the size, lots easier to stash in a bag when I get off the bike and a lot lighter. I have mine mounted on a U bolt Ram mount. I like the go home feature, but searching for some things takes forever (Bass Pro shop). I never had a problem seeing the Lowrance screen in daylight, but the Garmin washes out real easy. But the plus is that the Garmin automatically adjusts for night. The IWay is waterproof, but ziploc bags are cheap and the 765 is cheaper than the IWay. The 765 uses street names when alerting for turns, which is helpful, whereas the Iway doesn't. You can change the language being spoken on the 765 which sometimes causes me to listen up a bit better (I like Australian when I have other folks, German when it is just me). The 765 I got came with a traffic receiver. It is excellent in the car, will help you route around problems, but the cradle needed to work with that doesn't mate with my Ram mount. If I trusted the suction cup it would work, but I have a lot more faith in the Ram mount not letting go at an inappropriate moment.

Oh come on. I know that at least some of you must have seen the movie Multiplicity. Of course his clones are how he does it. Just be careful around the clone of the clone.

Just remember the rule of thumb my Dad taught me, never order chicken fried steak north of the Red or east of the Sabine.

Charlie, on a KLR it is perfectly acceptable to go past the "Pavement Ends" sign. However, one should be cautious going past the "Dirt Ends" sign. Hope you heal up soon. -
Ok, it's Saturday, why aren't you on your RSV???

Cause it's 11 P.M. and I don't like waking up the wife raising the garage door. -
I have a device that provides bluetooth to my hearing aids. It is possible, and I do it, to answer a phone call while on the bike. That lets me talk long enough to say, hang on while I pull over and I'll talk to you then if it is something I need to handle. Otherwise it is a call you later response. And as far as the escape part goes, I was able to get paid to ride my bike to NJ for a business trip. That may sound like not much fun, but every evening when work was done and on the weekend, I was off riding in places I had never had a bike. So I will continue to ride on business calls when I can and enjoy the roads between here and there.

Even if you can't read German you will get the idea. Looks like the perfect pastime for a meet and eat. http://www.bierbike.de/ueber-das-bierbike.html

I noticed that Swifty is a right-wing fella after all. -
I agree about the lawyer. That is about the only way you are going to be able to clear yourself with the IRS and be able to get on with your life.
