    I found...

    This is Fabulous.Congrats!!
  5. It could be a hum-bucking coil on the end of a power cable to an audio device. The black case could be where the fuse goes. There could be the other part of the fuse holder with cables missing.
  6. Wishing you a speedy recovery Scott
  7. Tell him that Ray (paysaw) is wishing for a speedy recovery from his eye problems.

  10. Good luck with the operation Scott!!
  11. I hear of talk of using a 2003 Yamaha FJR1300 regulator on Mk1 bikes as a replacement.Any thoughts on this?I was told it runs cold and can be mounted anywhere.
  12. i rewired my lighter and added a dual position relay to my setups. In on mode my cigarette lighter works and goes through a relay and is fused for good measure directly connected to the battery. In bike off mode it toggles to my battery tender leads. The battery only charges when the bike is off.
  13. http://www.powerlet.com/products.php?mid=1&gclid=CMfow4yG77kCFclcMgodegQArg Here is the link to the product. You may have to find a local dealer that sells it.Good luck I will post my pics when I have it installed.
  14. I am going to add a Powerlet panel mount connector to my 87.This is a superior connector.
  15. It is easy.Go to the their site and download the info sheet.Plot your trip on Google maps.Take a pic of your starting and ending speedo mileage and date stamp the pic.The best thing is to ride for two hours at a time and get fuel with a receipt.Right down your milage and time at every stop. Dont speed either.I posted on Facebook too as a backup at every stop. You need someone to sign for you at the start and finish of your trip.Drive a few extra miles just to be on the safe side to confirm your mileage as your bike does not keep accurate distance.
  16. PM please Dave. I have one. Ray
  17. I have a 87 Venture I am working on.I noticed after I took it around the parking lots fluid on the front right disk?Does anyone have any idea where this could be coming from? The front bakes seems to work fine.I have not looked into yet .There is oil on the front shock tubes as well.
  18. I revisited my original 83 Venture Royal.I bought it with 43kms original. To date it only has 47kms on it.It has the tools, chain lock . booklet and great looking plastic.I customized it too when i sold it and it has all kinds of chrome on it.I regret selling sometimes.Let me know if you know anyone who is interested. It is a beaut.!!!
  19. Thanks Brad.I just saved a hole lot of money.
  20. I have a mono shock from a 83 stardard. Can I use the shock on a an 86 with a class system. Can I disconnect the aid fitting in the 83 shock and connect it to the 86 system?
  21. You need some safety chrome.I have an 84 that I am about to sell with lots on it.PM if you are interested.
  22. I just did my stator cover last night on my 84.The previous owner did a stator upgrade but put the shifter in backwards. It is tricky because the weight of the joint wants to make the joint reverse. There is a little line on the shifter shaft that you see.I had to orient the line so it was in a different position. It is not an easy task so be patient.
  23. Just throwing this out Scott. When you changed your starter did you make sure the starter gears were put in right and were not binding?Did you pull off the stator cover to do your install?Could the started be jammed ? Was there anyway to know the started was good when you bought it? PS .If you have no solenoid luck PM me.I have one.
  24. Sorry for the loss of your father.Glad you had a good time.I was there weeks earlier with a few guys. The trip is wonderful as well as the people you meet and the culture you take take in.Glad you made it home safe.
