  1. I have an 86 Venture with a fuel leak. After a good ride I came home to a gas smell.I looked all over the bike and noticed a leak at the filter.I turned off the fuel and ran the bike until the carb bowls emptied. I still smell fuel.I pulled the left exhaust pipe and check underneath and looked at the center of the tank. The bottoms seemed moist near the front of the tank.I had to drain the tank, then turn the fuel back on .Then started the bike and ran it dry with the fuel pump starving for fuel. This stopped the smell.Any suggestions? Ray:confused24:
  2. I bought mine on sale last year when it was 69.00.Still a good deal. The rubber pads do come off though. My only complaint.
  3. I am not sure how good you are with relays. What I have done is bought the mini relays and mounted them in a little box and and wired it with terminals.I could get 4 min relays in a small box.I could wire, or change the relay's path .I labeled in and out and the current rating. It made for fast wiring.
  4. yES. That unit is not complete.Missing mounts to bike.
  5. Take a pic of where the leak is and where the oil drops too.

  11. I purchased a 1986 Venture with a non working class unit at the time.I did not know much about it but when I looked it a super brace. When I rode it it handled like a sports bike.I suspect it has progressive springs. The CLASS unit is fix and I wonder how that will affect the ride now.Good luck with repairs and mods!!!
  12. Before you give up I had the same problems.I looked in the help files and went specifically to the recommended re solder points. There is a pic of which ones to re solder.I had done the same thing as your tech did first. After reviewing the notes and correct soldering I fixed my problem.Other wise you are in installing Zerk fittings.
  13. Yes,Just replace it.It wont stop either. It will be your annoying little friend.
  14. Before you convert,Have you tried the fix for the controller? It involves just taking it apart and re soldering specific connections. It brought mt controller back to life. Are you getting the E4 error.Look on the help forums to see how it is done.
