    Hi All I have an 83 Venture standard parts bike for sale.I would like to sell it as one piece.it has 99KMs on it.Seems to start well and run great.There is upper swingarm support damage that a few hours, a welding torch could fix.Needs a left muffler.Its all here. two bags need lock mechs.Stator output good. Would need tires for a safety.I have the ownership. Its not too pretty but could turn into a great weekend worrior bike.So if you are in southern Ontario are area and need a parts bike, give me a hollar and make me an offer. Come and get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Has anyone come up with a shade tree way of setting up the middle gear lash?.I had to pull my middle gear again because of a leak I had it the gear bearing seal.I replaced the middle gear unit but would like to take the time to set the lash with the shimms.Thanks. Ray

    I noticed on my 83 that there is scribed milage numbers on my rear cylinder head. Is this any kind of mark of a second gear repair? I will look for the punch marks too.

    Hi. I had the similar problem with my 83.When I first got it there was no AM.It would not switch over.What I did was I took apart the radio control and replaced the mini switch on the circuit board that controls AM/FM.I grabbed the parts from an old tape deck I had.I am not sure if that is the problem you have. Keep us posted.

    I have an 83 wih that problem.I resoldered my CMU unit and the problem went away.You may have to take a few shots at it to get it right, but the flashing should go away.

    I really want one of these bikes.Back in the day I had a Kawasaki KZ1300.That was an inline transverse mounted six cylinder engine with about 130 or so horsepower right out of the box.What a bike that was.The thing had endless torque and could accelerate like you could not imagine.

    I h ave an 83. I changed all my pads and bled my brakes.The bike stops on a dime. Make sure you have done the bleeding correctly. There is a proceedure if you still have linked brakes.Your rear brakes should not have much play and should stop great.The front brake is extra safety.I can stop my bike just with my front brakes with little effort.Check out the help line on this site.You can PM me if you like and I can tell you what I did.
