    Iron Butt

I did my Iron Butt Ride yesterday. Left here in Mississauga and went west to Sarnia.West to Flint MI. North to Sault Ontario. East to Sudbury, east to North Bay.Then south back to Mississauga. Not a great time of 21 Hours as I had many social stops.I met some interesting people along the way including a school mate I had not seen in 38 years. I will post pics later. It was a great day and a great adventure. Ray:322:
  4. I just got one too.Thanks Steve!!! Good deal:cool10:
  5. My niece and her boyfriend are stuck up north with a bike running at red line.Throttle moves correctly but the bike still red lines.I am going to pick them up now with trailer. If anyone has any suggestions please call. Thanks Ray 416-567-0055:whistling:
  6. It was a great day in Dover with Steve and Carl.I had to leave early for a family gathering. It was so hot I got a tan.The pink tea shirt thing was funny too.It was just another random act of Carl's kindness that caught Steve off guard.Just another crazy adventure with a bunch of Venture riders. ( not me) ..lol:cool10:
  7. I think I am going to meet up with trader and leave from my house.we have been invited to make a stop at my friends place in Windham Centre wich is on the way to Dover for coffee. He has a big farm as i am told.Anyone who rides with us is invited. The more the merrier .:bighug: That includes Carl too...
  8. Hi steve I am up for the ride.I have to make a detour on the way to see a friend along the way.Let me know and we can meet.Oh yeah and there is that Carl guy too.
  9. All the best to you Abdul. Have a speedy recovery.Port Dover will not be the same.Ray:fingers-crossed-emo
  10. Anyone interested in doing an emergency Monday morning ride that live in the Mississauga Toronto area let me know and we could all get together. cheers Ray:cool10:
  11. A good friend of mine has a Vic Vision.Great bike but a bit ostentatious for me.He rode by me and the bike has a unique awesome exhaust note. He complains of wind buffeting at highway speeds. I hear they are a nice bike to ride and very well balance. I would not say it is a quick as any of the Venture family. It sure is a head turner though. Ray:cool10:
  12. Angel got home safe.He was stoked by the whole experience.
  13. Glad you made your ride safely.
  14. Hi Guys. Sorry i cant go this year. Can you welcome someone from Fort Wayne Indiana. His name is Angel Delarosa. He has a beautiful 88 Maroon first gen.He is a bit down in the dumps and he needs some cheering up. I told him about the Venture riders. Lots of pics guys and play safe.Good ride down and God speed...Ray:080402gudl_prv:
  15. I am a short gaunt of the QEW near 427. I am not sure if there are others in my area. Cawthra rd and Queensway would be great for me.
  16. You could have problems in your rear master cylinder.it might want a rebuild. You should pay the 12 :bucks and become a member. You will get all the help you could ever ask for.!!!
  17. It is nothing that age could not cure. The movement in the speedo can run sluggish over time.Sometimes when they heat up they work better. You could try changing out your speedo for another one and see if you have the same result..
  18. When I had my 83 I changed and bled all my brakes. It was a bit tricky but when you figure out how to do it, it only takes minutes.I used a hand bleeder to do my front left brake.Once I cleared out all the old fluid, it was a snap.
  19. Nice scoot!!
  20. Sorry for your loss Tom.
  21. I had a 83 Venture before I bought my ST1100.St1100 are reasonably priced and easy to get parts for. A great bike for technical riding and very low in maintenance. Also owning one I can tell you they get great fuel mileage.I can go about 500 kms on a tank. But I still want to get another first Gen again.Love the old bikes.Conny's are great too as well as FJR's.Ps ( very fast too) hehehe:backinmyday:
  22. Hi Jack This is a big job.You have to be patient. The bad thing is you will not know what the problems are until you take the pipes off.Good luck with this.
  23. Hi Abdul I am in for Friday. We could pick a point on the QEW to meet past the 427 if you like.Maybe we can get Ben to go too. I just hope I can keep up to you guys.......LOL:cool10:
