ok am i wrong to think this and what do you think? we have a pizza place. here in town about 5 miles down the road. well we got hungry and thought we would order a couple. well we were informed that besides cost of pizza there would be a $3.50 delivery. charge. my g/f got mad and said when the delivery person gets here. give no tip? as he gets the delivery fee. i thought this was wrong and slipped him 2 bucks:mo money:. now g/f said i was wrong. them kids are out there doing a job. and hey its the holiday season right? so im in the dog house for a lousy 2 bucks:Sad_0241:

well thanks to all who sent it my way 2 inches last night and down to 20 outside.brrrrrrrr. that moving to az sometime this new year in august just aint comming fast enough. lived in minnesota for 28 years. had enough. of that white stuff. now im here in illinois. 600 miles from old minnesota home. just didnt head far enough south:confused24:

hope your doing better. i know what back operations and knees are like. i had a fusion in the back done. 2 acl repairs in the knees. and now looking forward to a total knee replacement. and im only 51. to much good times while i was younger. snowmobile accident. dirt bike accident. car accident, and a sking accident. sure makes pepole a little nervous when ridding alongside me:Avatars_Gee_George:

my list. repair book. pull tires off take to a place to get my new ones installed while there off put the new rotors on all 3. new brake pads and bleed the brakes. install the radio i bought from a member . take apart the tape player it quit about 2 weeks ago? figure out how to remove the old gages? and replace with the nice ones i got from a member. old ones worked but had a crack on the cover and filled up with water? firgure out how to pull the carbs if thats the cause. i put sea foam in and maybe too much? so start with new plugs. check on the cable updates i heard about on this site for the starter drag when it sits for about a week. i got a gel battery just 2 weeks ago. and have to figure out how to shut off the sensor on the monitor? no hole in the new battery. oil change. and then figure out why PO put a fan switch on the bike? im thinking the bike thermo dont work right. or it got hot at one time? i did notice at 44,000 miles there is a record and proof the PO had second gear done. then just clean the bike up. and latter decide how to remove fairing as i might get it painted.

i was in peoria illinois today to do a little gambling. saw 2 bikes in the lot. and went to take a look. 2 nice men where comming out to get on them. both are heading home. to AZ one was driving a 86 other a 88. 86 was a nice gold. 88 looks like a repaint? blue and silver. the 86 owner was named dan. and the other john. i didnt catch the last name right. sounded like mahder? brothers. if this was you. i want to say thanks. for letting me pick your minds a little. about gas milage. handling. and how far they where comming from. these where great guys. who where a little cold. but then hooked up what looked like heated gear. and off they went. not before dan did a tire burn out. didnt think these ventures could do that? i told them about this site. so maybe i got 2 new members to hook up.

here where i live the nearest dealer is 25 miles from me either way. 2 of them same distance apart.. one yamaha dealer. has nothing but the rockets. and when the scooter age hit. tons of these little 50cc and up to 150cc. crap all over the show room. i went in there with the venture looking for some repair work to be done. just wanted it to run ok. and was told. that under no circumstances would they work on the bike. to old 1984? and the man said you cant afford to get it done right? ok maybe my looks frighten him into thinking im a bum. 5 ft 9 240 pounds hair middle of my back. and a full long beard. old jean jacket red white and blue helmet. maybe he thought i came right out of easy rider? the other dealer ship. was verry friendly and i will give ther name a boost here leopolds out of ottawa illinois. they can find ya some basic parts. like carb parts, and even a decent resurfaced rotor for the rear of my bike. brake pads ect. all these things are now sitting here as i got taken by a 40 a hour shop here in town that was going to install all the parts? then i blew out my knee. and that shop just kept putting my bike back in the back did nothing. i went down there and demanded my tires and my bike. as i paid for them. plus i wanted a refund as tires included free mounting and balance. he gave me my tires and 6 bucks? said im no longer wanted at his shop. because i wanted it done to fast. bike sat there for 2 months? he even said i should charge you storage. know i know putting on the rotors and new brake pads cant take to long seeing as the tires are comming off for. mounting . oh well enough. ranting. im going to find a repair manual some where and get down and dirty. just need to find a repair book. not the cd they sell on ebay.

ok since im still kind of a newbie here. where do i find the auction. link. i would like to say i lost 3 family members to cancer in the last 14 years. i lost my mom in 1992- bone cancer. 2002 i lost my dad colon cancer. 2005 i lost my best friend and great brother pancreatic cancer. and right now a friend of mine is fighing, brain cancer. . there has to be a cure someday. as for me i suffer from MS. orthopedic problems, and other health issues. i continue to do my best for friends family. and others when i can. so i would like to bid on some items

im in illinois got around to 52 today. my venture is down as it needs repairs. and i had a acl repair about 3 weeks back. but i just couldnt hold back. 9 months of not ridding. got to me. i got a yamaha maxim a while back friend got it running like a dream.. i just had to climb on that thing and ride. with the knee taped up and in a support brace off i went. 125 miles. and then back. its going to start dropping down into the lows 30,s and high 20,s so ridding is over for me. i do have to say that maxim is a fun bike.

way to go i got mine. 12 point buck. buddy of mine got one red neck style. he was driving his truck to go out looking for a good site. early in the am. when one came out. of the ditch. hit the side of the bed and landed right in it. now talk about not haveing to drag. and haul it. of course this deer will cost at least. 300.00 with his deductable. and stuff. he was lucky anyways. turns out the dumb a$$ forgot his amunition.

read tonights news paper. he has a $30,000 bond on him. ouch. and has a class 4 felony charge on him 2nd dui in 3 years. that can bring a sentence of 3 years max. want to bet the young man tries to sue the bar for letting him leave in that condition.

last night or early this morning i should say. a young man was driking at the local bar about a half a block. from my place. he left the bar against his friends whishes to take a cab. took off on his harley . must have hit a speed of 60mph. he side swiped 6 cars takeing off the drivers mirrors on all of them. i was the last one he hit. he suffered. a broken shoulder. faceal lacerations. not to mention. a dui. reckless driving.. total damages to the cars are over 3 grand. his bike was impounded. he has no valid motorcycle endorsement. and no insurance on the bike. so please think before you drink and get on your bike. it aint worth it. to think you can make it home

i dropped in a 440 hemi. 200 shot nitro. a parachute. 10.5 to 1 malroy pistons.. 3/4 cam. and took a little weight off the back. i bought my girlfriend her own bike so now its 100 pounds lighter.

getting called baby killer and stuff like that was a insult. but didnt the movie saving private ryan was based on ww2. after all they where fighting german soldiers in that movie if i recall? ryans brothers where all killed and he was to be sent home as the last surving son. latter on in real war time. as i recall there was something passed called the sullivan. law. in the military. all the sullivans died. something like seven of them and there was no remaing sons left for this poor family to carry on the name. so it was passed that if brothers where in combat and only one survived the military would try to get the remaining son back to the family with a honorable discharge. now i am a army vet served almost 15 years. and i have great pride in what our military. does. i see a young man come home i shake his hand and say thank you.

its up and running. it got into the mid 50,s here today. so we fired it up and he got the carbs sync. took it out for a good ride. i follwed in the cager. due to knee problem. he drove it about 100 miles. not a hic cup out of it. he did say that. it wants to wander some mostly due to mismatched tires. they got lots of tread but 8 years sitting? ones a yoko something and other is asomething starting with looks like a c? its in the back.. so being me knee brace and all i just could not resist. and took off on it. rode it down the highway. got it up to 65mph. and thought hey nice run around bike. shaft drive. shifts smooth. but a little soft on the rear. my ex neighbor was around 140 pounds. im 240? hmm? all in all this is going to be a fun bike. now time to save up and do the venture.. i got some good info on some shops close by for the venture. but what i can do my self i will. like the plugs. stuff like that. i just cant bend down much now. knee wont let me. so im sitting with rotors all of them that needs to be put on.. new brake pads., and tires. to be installed. on the venture. and maybe a carb cleaning and sync. just looking to see what this will cost me. in the spring time?

being from illinois this is so true. and dont ask a sevice station employee for directions. unless you want to come back for coffee about 100 miles and a hour and a half latter just to hear him say i thought you would be back so i made a fresh pot. LOL

my friend cleaned it up. pulled the petcock like everyone here said to do. checked the screen. and gaskets. a little rusty. not bad? had the tank done cleaned and creamed. cost $60 bucks he works at a kawasaki place. mechanic there. thought that was a good price? we got new plugs $15 new battery $40 . keep in mind we just want to get it running it need tires too but its winter. and cold as heck in the gargage. tonight he went over to bro-inlaws reinstalled every thing. put in fresh gas. hit the starter. it cranked over. about 4 times he said and fired right up. but throttle response is off some? at arond 2000 rpms he said it flogs? hes going over this weekend with a mercury manometer. and doing a carb sync. he said james that bike is going to be a sweet ride:dancefool: and maybe just you and sis that my girlfriend his sister just might want to ride this scoot and go over the venture slowly? man you just dont get friends and bargains like that any more except from this site.
