i often see boomer calling the bikes maytag? if i recall maytags where allways never breaking down? the repair man on the ads never had to come and fix them? he was allways lonley? and if maytag did indeed build theses bikes. wouldnt maytag come to mean makes a yamaha that allways goes therfore maytag= makes a yamaha that allways goes.

skydoc. i wish i was closer. i even thought about trailering this bike to someone. and let them have at it. someone who knows these bikes. will get it running good. then i just come and pick it up. right now im fighting a workers comp case long story so it could get repoed before then. but if i win my case im willing to put this bike to a great running state. i did drive this bike for a year before problems poped up carbs and other minor things. then my injury. i love the feel of that bike.

i agree i also think they should do some service for they checks. clean the ditches. work at the food pantry. hire some to build the fence to keep some from comming in to our country when they get to the gate have them working on the other side then weld it shut. sorry i should not rant like that i guees

been there where i live. in illinois they wont touch a bike that old i got a 1984. all i can get is tires,oil change. and since i was lucky i did bribe them to put brake pads on. since the wheels where being pulled off. i didnt buy the tires from them so all the work cost me $ 225.00. i also asked if they would grease the rear end and the splines to the drive gear. and the mechanic. said all he can do was top it off????. he did tell me about a friend of his. that will take it in in the spring. and do a good look see. and will work on it at 50 bucks an hour. also the guy will let ya watch. im thinking this might be a good idea. as i used to work on smaller bikes. but i need to learn about this beast.

yep them leos where on the ball my hats off to them. that bike would have more then likely been torn down by the end of today had not they found these pepole. now it looks like a lot of work to id the rest of that yard. who knows what has been scraped and sold. its a old farm home billy bob and his son type operation . . this is going to be some serious class x and 4 felonies. looks like big time in the house for them. maybe they can take up auto shop while there LOL

just to let you know the finance companys name if its ok to post it as i too have a loan with them and there% rate is sky high they will give a loan thats way over what the bike is worth. its american general finance.

bike has been found. 2 men and a auto salvage yard have been charged with grand theft. seems like they pull this type of scam they claim they buy out repossion orders and act as a contractor for the person who sold them they repo contracts. they then go and locate the item . give this phony order. and hope they get a naieve person to fall for it. inside that salvage yards garage are over 12 bikes and torn down cars. sounds like a chop shop. but why take a old bike? my friend said he has to come home and fill out paper work. then it goes to the DA. hes just glad they found it. its a old honda but has sentimental value more then money value to him.

yes auto i to wonder if this was a theft in the makeing? here is what i know was on the paper. oder to repo one 1992 yamaha venture . address his place it was right.. bank name was correct. amount owed was right. due to being in arears this company out of bloomington illinois. hereby has the right to take poession of such property. and deliver upon request to lean holder. under no circumstances is this contractor aloowed to enter any locked or closed storage unit or secured garage to take poesession. with out owner or family member giving proper authorization. for owner to get poession of motorcycle arears towing and repo charges must be brough up to date. signed so and so at his bank. look legit to a 21 year old. cops are on the lookout for the bike and the truck. and will make contact with him. the owner my friend. they did advise him to contac his insurance company. report is on file. of possible theft. poor daughter is scared to death that they will come back. she left and went to stay with her grandma. cops said they never heard of this happening before. sounds like they where going to take what ever was in that garage be it a gold wing or a venture. damn that sucks.

eusa1 thanks for the info and yikes your not far from me. with the loss of my job and a loan thats hard to pay i just hope its a nice person like you that comes for mybike. if i cant find away to get it payed for. times are tough im fighting a workers comp case. and im now on ssi. and you cant miss a big old 84 venture LOL

well just got a hold of him. he states that he has no lean on the wing. its out right paid for. he took the venture down to florida with permission? he is 2 months behind on the venture. no notice of a repo was sent. his intentions was to sell a 1986 ford f150 4x4 truck he took to florida. which he did. he sent off a bank transfer for 2 grand to the bank that owns the title to the venture. it should now be paid off? he called the local cop shop here. and they are going to the repo shop. as his yellow paper he gave shows that he was to pick up one.1992 venture. now dont get me wrong. his daughter opened the garage. let them take the bike. she said the guy said only bike here it must be the one? she did not know her dad had the venture. so she assumed the man was right to take the only bike there. if its a honest mistake no charges will come against the man. but he must return the bike back to where it came from. in same shape and condition as when it left. and they should look at vin numbers. not just pull up scare some poor girl into opening that door. and just grab and run. looks like they will be reported to some state agency abou illegal repoing. there paper work is over a month and a half ago. they should have done a check up to see if it was still inefect. for that venture. looks like some crap is going to hit the fan?

a friend of mine has 2 bikes. one paid for a 1988 goldwing. the other a 92 venture. now the loan company sent a repo man to the house. and his daughter of 21 was the only one home as hes in florida trying to get a job. the repo man said they where there to pick up one motorcycle. being as he took the venture with him about a month ago to florida. the only bike in there was the honda the repo man pushed the honda out of the garage. up on a flat bed truck tied it down and off he went with the honda. i told shelly his daughter to call the cops but she afraid that her dad will yell at her. i cant reach him . who knows where this bike went? the so called repo man gave a yellow paper for her to call the bank and they will inform her how to get the bike back?

i got a 24 . wow im not smarter then a fith grader LOL. my 13 year old niece scored 27. and earned $5 bucks from me. i told her im old and old pepole forget things like what $5 bucks lol. of couse her being a young lady that aint going to fly. women never let ya forget LOL

wow glad your ok. dont know if any one ever seen or heard of this as a kid. i worked at a old tire shop. a man brought in a semi tire. my boss got the old tire off. put one back one the rim. and took it outside. he then poured what looked like lighter fuid lit it an boom:scared: it sealed it to the rim. i had to go get some more fruit of the looms. after that.. he also did this once with ether? it blew right trough the garage door. that day i quit. a week latter i heard he tried to start a car with ether and blew the heads off.. im talking about a guy who would also smoke while he worked under a car with a leaking gas tank.

my goal is to be able to walk better to many operations on both knees from a work injury. so being as im not up and walking that much i went from 190 to 235. its got to come off somehow? i cant use a tredmill due to impact on the left knee. i cant walk much even with a walker over a half a block and it swells up. im 51 and looking at both knees being replaced at age 60. have no clue why doc wants to wait that long? i lost one year of ridding. so my biggest goal get the bike running good. and just roll on the throtle. heading nowhere in paticular.

thats verry nice of you to give squid that bike. but i just got some old 84 parts laying around. i do have a friend who has a motorcycle salvage yard up in minnesota i gave him a email shout. to see what he might have. best i can do for now

its minus 9 here with out wind chill. so aint no way im going ridding. and i like coffee but where i would have to pour that coffee to get my butt off the bike in this kind of weather might hurt a little? dad allways said protect the jewels. there the only thing i passed on to you that means a lot???

verry nice of you squid from a guy who has had over 18 operations on both knees. just had one 5 weeks ago i know what its like to have family around. somehow you heal faster? dont know why? oh i said the why word!! but it does seem to help. sometimes we the injured one feels like we become a burden on thoes who help us. we can become cranky. hard to get a long with but in the end we realy do love the attention we get. so keep this in mind that you love the big guy. take care. and hey they do have long johns you know. i even got the old union suit red with the flap in the back. been in cold minnesota and illinois longenough to know aint nothing like a good pair of long johns or a good woman. you got a good woman so your half way there.

update. the store manager checked his video. and saw what happened and called me. said he would like to make it right. and offerd to replace the items. if i bring in my recipiet. wow im amazed. he didnt have to do that. but im going to take him up on the offer. im out 30 bucks. plus i had to replace thoes items. you know sometimes the man upstairs is watching.
