i just replaced my radio head because the other one was missing some buttons. it worked am and fm. if you dont get yours working and need the radio head give me a shout. if you can replace the buttons. on it? i might just donate it for cost of shipping

dont know if this helps but i put a 86 on my 84 and it fit? but i bought it off ebay and whos to say the guy didnt lie to me and send me another 84? i also was wondering if a false tank off a 86 would fit my 84? so maybe someone will pop in and let us both know?

im a big time viking fan. i allways say i will live till they win one im 51 so it better happen soon. i take nothing away from the saints. they played a good game. but how many 40 year old QB can stay in there hit after hit ??

i too have this problem but mine is getting on the bike. i got a 27 inseam. i stand 5 ft 9. i have to get as close to the bike and hop on my bad left leg and get my right leg on the seat and slide the leg across the seat. same as getting off the bike. but once im on it i can plant my feet on the ground? well on day i kicked the backrest with my right leg. and kicked the bike to the right i caught it but pulled some ligiments in my back. a bike with a full tank i think goes over the 800 pound mark? i lowerd the air in the front to 12lbs lowerd the rear to 32 and im close. also im thinking of takeing the back rest off? i bought a spare seat and im thinking of sending to someone i saw on this great site that cuts and lowers the seat. i need about 1 to 1and a half out of it. -

yep its a 125cc. cool looking little bike. i think he has a great chance of getting this bike up and running. no dents or dings on it. mostly was hauled around on the back of a motor home. a little over 5500 miles. paint on side panels faded. seat has about a 1/4 inch rip looks like there use to be a strap there. i tould him under no cirumstances to fire that bike up. without doing a tank inspection. and haveing his dad check the carb. it sat since 1989 he wants me to say thanks to all of you. hes a good kid. i was kidding him and tould him if all else fails i could hook it up to the side of the venture and haul him around like a side car. 120 mph . he said no thanks.

i might have spelled it wrong? tonight my nephew called me to ask me about a combat wombat motorcycle? has a chrome gas tank. and is in fair condition. hes been shoveling snow and doing chores for a neighbor who broke his hip. the man offerd him this motorcycle and about 200.00 cash for all the help he has been doing so far. so i might be spelling it wrong and cant find any info on it. so my questions are 1=can he still get and find parts for this bike 2= who built these bikes are they a honda knock off? 3 = how do i find the cc on this bike he said the owner states it a 250? 4 bike turns over but its like kicking a mule? 5= a lever on the left handlebar could it be a compression release? i dont want him getting ripped off. he works about 4 hrs a day for this man. since november. bringing food running erands. all for a little gas money. with the knowledge that he wanted this bike. and 200.00 to maybe throw into it. last year someone stole a kawasaki kdx from him. hes been devestated since then. corn detassling in high heat. only to have that bike for less then a month. i cant help him no more since i cant work. to give him any money for a better dirt bike. he realy wants a duel purpose bike for around $400.00 to $500. he should have saved up by spring?. being a teenager it might not happen he will have that cash LOL. just asking if anyone heard of these bikes and where they good ones can you get pistons and stuff just it case this thing goes south?

hello everyone. just a little update on my knee problems. well the apointment was to be at 2:00 i arived at 1:45. the receptionist said he,s running late. i thought oh ok there is only 5 of us sitting in the waiting room. well time goes by. it is now 3:00 im thinking this aint good if the other 4 are before me?? finaly at 3:45 i go in. the doctor says james hows that knee doing? i said you mean kimberly?? he looked at me like i lost my mind. and said whos kimberly and why you calling your knee kimberly? i said doc its like this this knee has been injured for over a year now. about that time i found a new girlfriend. well after the operation. neither one would support me. and being as i couldnt afford 2 bad things i thought i would have to at least keep the one that im firmly attached to. he said james my day has been going bad and you made me smile shots are on me. then that sucker stuck me with a big needle. so on the way out there where 2 gentlemen sitting there. they said how much longer do you think it will be for us to see him. i said hey he got a new nice looking nurse. the one old gentlmen said . hell wont be till friday. might as well go home.

2005 pontiac grand prix. never let me down 1964 1/2 ford mustang covert. daughter is comming for that. she was a tom girl at one time. i had no sons. she spent many countless hours with her grandpa and I putting that car together. 1974 ford torino to be restored. sitting up in mn. and my first car. 1974 ford maverick grabber 302. has 78,000 miles on her but. cancer is catching up to her. hood and trunk lid. im thinking of going fiberglass replacement??

prayers sent. just a dumb question can they do a local . instead? i cant take that stuff too. so when they did my knees they did a spinal block i know they cant do that for carpal. but maybe there is some kind of nerve block?

good advice everyone but there is still snow on these country back roads. so takeing it out for a spin right now with bad brakes would scare the crap out of me LOL. but i got to (thinking.) that could be a bad thing? LOL. when changing the plugs as im low on cash and cant afford new wires and caps? do these caps screw out like old snowmobile ones use to? i use to snip about a 1/4 of the wire off if they where long enoug and replace the caps with new screw in ones? unless there is a wire upgrade for around 30 bucks any one knows of. and how do you reach the coils to install them? keep in mind the last person who owned this let this bike sit for like 2 years. i did get er running for a year and put 5ooo miles on her. before minor i hope problems poped up. so im thinking 5000 miles a plug change should have been done by me who knows how long them plugs been in that bike? my fault for loaning out my service manual to a jerk who never returned it. as i should have just sat down and went over that book and the bike. im going to say it i dont even know how to remove the side panels? looks like the passengers foot boards get in the way where the black parrt of the side covers are.. i do see the pull thing? but im afraid to pull and crack them. there is a hairline crack in one allready. but im going to tinker if i break it. i will somehow fix it. i just need to remove these plastics to get at them plugs. i can get to the fronts just fine but someone put on nice chrome on the side covers to cover the back plugs.. i have no idea why as im thinking that would put some heat there or maybe to stop heat from your leggs not sure. im going to snap some picks of the bike and see how i can load them here? as i cant even tell waht colour you would call this bike. you know you all are great pepole. and if things go well and i somehow get the cash i want to see about renting this baquet hall here in town. cost is 450. for a 4 hour night. this includes both of the parking lots. use to be a old a and p store. perfect for a maintenace day????

mini im not going nowhere. and to all the rest im staying. i posted that i let my mind and arse controll me that day. sometimes if your off the meds things go south realy fast. and no i aint talking about a first generation in warm weather?? down south LOL. im trying to wind down the pain meds and stuff. due to inuries from work. but sometimes its best to let the body tell you what it needs and well the docs too. if any one has ever had to deal with workers comp. sometimes you feel like running into a brick wall. or going postal on them LOL . i been couped up in a small apartment for over a year. i get out maybe once a week if the body is up to it. i had a operation one one knee that my private insurance paid for. because there insurance quack said i can do light duty work. mine said he needed the operation and we went forward from there. so of course good old workers comp cut of my tempoary total disability pay. and said they aint goin to give me any permenant disabilty so been fighting to get reinstated since august. some how there idependent doctor is out of the country helping vietnam docs learn ortopedics? i should get his deposition sometime in febuary then my doc gives his and we once again battle. so its deny dont pay. and hope he goes away thing. send PI to watch him. which is funny i drove my electric scooter down the street day 2 days before christmas and pulled up to the van and said hey its cold out here heres some hot coffee and some christmas cookies havent seen that van since???

hi everyone well today i decided i would try to start the venture. it sat since ocotber. in my brother-inlaws garage i bought a brand new battery in spetember fot it. a gel type battery with out a hole for the sensor? well battery was fully charged still? i forgot the tender. well i turned on the switch. turned it over. it coughed and coughed. i turned the switch off waited. about 4 minutes tried it again. she caught and started to run? then just died? i did put seafoam in the bike. maybe way to much? 3/4 can to full tank. just before i stored it the bike was running rough. i posted about this before. i just never got a chance to go out and open it up with that seafoam in it. well thats not the main problem what scared me was after i was done trying to fire up the bike. there was gas under the bike? did i do something wrong? or was it because i kept turing the bike on and off did the fuel pump over fill the carbs.? i did push the bike to a new area in the garage and tried again about a hour latter. she fired on the forth try. ideld rough but did idle for about 12 minutes. i shut her down. do to a nervous bro -inlaw. hes been that way for 20 years LOL wont let me work in that garge.?? its a brick garage? except for the roof. what the hell am i going to burn down LOL. thats why oldgoat needs a job and to get a place with a garage. i hate idle hands. i could be out there. tinkering. but i also forgot i didnt install the new plugs yet. because i cant work in there now beacuse its stuffed wiith his stuff now. i will get that bike out in the spring. and work on it somewhere LOL.. or im going to see about a maintenace day that i can get to close by. but the bike needs more then a little maintenance i believe. i can run er down the road just wont idle? i need to get all the parts i got installed tires rotors brakes new gages mine work but water got in there at one time? new false tank well new to me. got radio and tape. and amp. mine work but buttons missing. so im replaceing. so when im done there will be free donor parts. like radio. missing buttons, false tank. broken tab for fuel door other wise a 5 out of ten. custom paint of a water fall on the tank. rotor covers starting to pit. and someone polished them with some wire thingy. lolks good at ten feet shiny but up close?? also have one extra throtle grip with cruise works great thought i need it bout one on ebay. only to find out my cruise wasent working due to a bent pulg connector. its working now. these will be free when the bike has the other parts installed.

i just want to say im truly sorry. stress in my life. been fighting a workers comp injury for over a year. and im in pain most every day. i come on here late at night. and sometimes i tend to read into things the wrong way. so what i did was engaged my ass and fingers to the keyboard and not the brain and eyes. i should have read the post over before i engaged the fingers and ass. much like a motorcyle dont dissengage the clutch and hit the gas and take off if you know the brakes are bad.

eck i dont know your friend who says that i would sucker punch ya? so that being said. i will most likey never attend any meetings? i dont want troubble and i dont go looking for any. so that being said and done i wish all of you the best. and i will just slowly fade away. good luck fellow venture ridders. keep them up on 2 wheels. and i will make sure to wave if i see one of ya on the road. if broke down i will allways stop. oldgoat

ok eck sorry in no way did i mean to imply that no one knew what boomer was talking about. you kind of remind me of a kid i knew in school no matter what i did. he allways claimed he either done it first or thought of it first. allways tried to take a way what little bit of fame i got. so one day i invited him to go dirt bike raceing with me. well being me back then we got into a corner side by side. i took my right leg and kicked his bike and watched him go down. i went back and said well you finaly get credit from me for being the first to get suckerd to the outside and going down. we became best of friends after that:innocent-emoticon:
