well a man was mowing the grass here today and came up to me and said what kind of motorcycle is under that cover? i pulled off the cover and showed him the venture, he said start it up and i did i explained that a friend of mine eusa1 mike drove it back there and shes a runner. i let him pick at it. of course the little cracks and the great niece painting the trunk brown took some of the value off of it i showed him the receipt for tires batttery and brakes and exhaust. i tould him i cant let him take it for a ride as he had no MC endorsement and last time he was on a bike was 15 years ago. he said it pops and sputters at idle i explained that my friend mike said it could be dropping a cyclinder but he did take it up to around 75mph and never took it out of 3rd gear. well after all the looky here and looky there he came at me with a $700 offer i thought about it and said let me think it over. as its not in that bad a shape for an old girl even mike usa1 said she can be fixed maybe carbs and plug wires and seafoam the crap out of it. and well since its up and stored im thinking no.

its hot here in peru IL but i had to go out and do some errands i was driving the pontiac grandprix its black in color i had the a/c on high as it can go and it was ice cold in there. i pulled up into my yard to go get somethings out of my apartment when it hit me. i felt like someone sucker punched me right in the head and guts. i went down to the ground and my leggs started to cramp. i did manage to get inside my apartment where i started to drink warm not cold water. i did not make it out to run my errands as im sick to my guts and my head feels like the little drummer boy is in there beating his drum. and im running a light fever of about 100.6 dang i thought here we go another heat stroke like i had back in 1978 while in the army. right now im feeling a little better and the a/c is helping along with gatoraid. i just want to say be carefull out there in 90+ heat and high humidity

Charles B. Wells Jr., Palmyra, NY DOGS DON'T HAVE SOULS, DO THEY? I remember bringing you home. You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws and soft fur. You bounced around the room with eyes flashing and ears flopping. Once in a while, you'd let out a little yelp just to let me know this was your territory. Making a mess of the house and chewing on everything in sight became a passion and when I scolded you, you just put your head down and looked up at me with those innocent eyes as if to say: "I'm sorry, but I'll do it again as soon as you're not watching." As you got older, you protected me by looking out the window and barking at everyone who walked by. When I had a tough day at work, you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging just to say, "Welcome home. I missed you." You never had a bad day and I could always count on you to be there for me. When I sat down to read the paper and watch TV, you would hop on my lap looking for attention. You never asked for anything more than to have me pat your head so you could go to sleep with your head over my leg. As you got older, you moved around more slowly. Then one day, old age finally took its toll, and you couldn't stand on those wobbly legs anymore. I knelt down and patted you lying there, trying to make you young again. You just looked up at me as if to say you were old and tired and that after all these years of not asking for anything, you had to ask me to do one last favor. With tears in my eyes, I drove you one last time to the vet. One last time you were lying next to me. For some strange reason you were able to stand up in the animal hospital - perhaps it was your sense of pride. As the vet led you away, you stopped for an instant, turned your head and looked at me as if to say: "Thank you for taking care of me." I thought, "No - thank YOU for taking care of ME."

i just want to give a big thanks to eusa1 his wife and daughter and rick haywood for comming down and moving my bike out of storage and getting it up on its center stand in the back yard of my apartment. mike eusa1 drove it home and did most of the grunt work he drove it right up in the yard like a pro and that grass hill aint fun. we got boards under the front tire and center stand my thanks to his daughter for helping with the boards she a fine young lady. and rick watched the right side of the bike. this team made it look like a well planed pit crew in no time they had it up parked and stowed. and then where off to the rootbeer stand for some cold rootbeer. and some talk then the time came to part ways as it is hot as heck out there. i just hope they take it easy on the way home and stay cool and rick nice meeting you as well i enjoyed the afternoon with you great pepole....
