you too? i been told not to touch the pies, the whipped cream. the cookies. untill after dinner. kind of takes all the fun out of it. but i do have a verry sneaky great niece. where in her room right now with some. much earned cookies. i had to keep grandma busy while she got them

well thanks evey one im thinking. first of the month go and get the tags. the bike runs. just health problems keep me off it. and if i want to sell it next summer. it would look good with up to date tags. that way the new owner knows it will need some maintenance to get it running better. you can drive it home. it just looks ugly. LOL

ok i did not register my venture this year. i just forgot. got a letter to day from IL dmv saying that my motorcyle will soon not be in the system has it been wrecked or sold? i have untill end of dec. to get the tags. or the bike will be considerd off the road? i thought if i wasent ridding it i could just let the registration go a year? guess not?

well let me say i hope every one has a safe holiday. i will be spending mine at my sisters.. with a brother-inlaw i cant stand. but i can handle it for a day. and since where going to take the aunties out of the home to have dinner we out number him 6 to 1 LOL. and boomer that venison saugage sure sounds good.

nov. 20th my membership runs out. i have to wait till end of the month to take in my cans for cash. so i can afford the $12. times are tough but when i get them turned in i will rejoin i aint going away. your all stuck with me.

i went up to the homless shelter where i know some vets are. i got a deal with popa johns here. and told the shelter that i will supply dinner tonight. there are over 20 pepole up there some vets and some who are just homeless. i got enough pizza and side orders to feed them all for tonight. i served not during war time. but to give what i can to thoes who are in worse shape then I made me feel good.

im sorry i cant help in the finding a place to live situation. but i can sure feel for you. as i have been and still am in about the same shoes. i do have a place to live and i too have tried for low income houseing. with a year waiting list.im number 125 on the list and they have 200 apartments here with them all being full. so its a wait and see for me. i worked a little for the outdoor homeless shelter for vets this summer and it helped with food and a little pocket money. but at last they closed and the winter homeless shelter does not have a position for me at this time. i do go up there and do some volunteer work. and that gets me a free meal. and some conversation with some of the vets i met.. im on social security dissability and its not much. i wish ya luck my friend keep your head up sincerly oldgaot

well i went back in today and got a brace for the left knee.MRI was done that will take a couple days to come back with the results. as i was walking out of that jack hammer truck. i over heard the lady say wow did you see that mans poor knee all them operations and stuff looks like the man had a wild chainsaw operator in there, lots of scar tissue.total acl repair screws and a donor achiles tendon to make that ACL from back in 1992 is about the only thing holding that mans knee together, then she hushed up? as for the 2 to 3 month i live in IL the state is broke. and dealing with insurance is real fun. so i guees knee injections and morphine pills are what they consider a good idea. till they get approval.? it has been rainning all night and all day today and them pills are the only think keeping me moving today. the knee brace is nice and comfortable. give a feeling of stability. so with my cane my pills the brace. i guess im doing the best i can? i been online checking out the way they do these knee operations it looks easy but the PT is aggressive. i just want some of my life style back. my daughter has been looking for a trike kit for the old 84 venture. so far cheapest she found was around $1900 she said dad when that workers comp settlement comes in and you pay off the balance on the car you should have around 4k left if you want to fix the bike and place that on it she will pay half. so i at least have some hope to look forward too. or if im lucky i could sell the 84 and find someone with a bike that has the voyager kit on it cheap . its just a dream. but hey it keeps me going.

ruffy thanks for your info on my post. that is the type of knee my docotor showed me ? we think febuary might be a good time for me as well or after the snow goes away. hang in there and i look forward to how yours turns out.
