  1. for those who want to see it I will post a picture next time I change the dressing. for some reason a burn hurts more at night? just when you want to go to bed.
  2. thanks I have tylenol3 with codine for the pain. I placed lose gauze on it. it still stings and I am sure it will for a while. the doctor did call in some ointment for it. stinks like hell? but makes the burn feel cool. the nurse said a lot of people make the mistake of buying sunburn type of spray to sooth the burning feeling . she said that traps in the heat as you need to let the wound seep and stay moist? she said this will take about 2 weeks to fully heal? just keep it covered use the ointment. keep it away from heat even the sun. if I am care full I can still ride the motorcycle? I like that nurse LOL
  3. thanks stickhandle2 I have 2 plants. I will try that. I must say I believe that it is a 2nd degree burn? you can see the patter of a bolt head in the center of the burn. looks like I been branded. this is not the first time I done something stupid like this. I am sure it wont be the last.
  4. went for a nice ride today. around 200 miles brought the motorcycle to the place I store it at. drove it into the unit. forgot when you do that it is hard to get off the bike. so I tried to swing myself off the bike. my right pants leg came up to my knee. I felt this strange pain shoot up my leg. I look down at a golf ball size blister it went and popped on it,s own. hurts like hell. got home iced it down bought burn spray and cream not sure? do you cover a burn? or let air get to it? I think my motorcycle loves me though. because the burn is shaped like a heart now? heat shields work but yep they get hot. I learned my lesson get off your lazy butt and push the bike into that 5x10 storage unit.
  5. I been in a little town up in Alaska called blueballs population was 14 at the time back in 1979? never did find that place again? had a fur trading post . about 12 huge army type tents about 40 or so miles from Juno?

  15. well today it got up to 60 out side so I had this crazy idea to take stella out of the storage unit and go for a little ride. got her out pulled the choke turned on the fuel and the key. hit the starter and she fired right up. let her warm up while I put on my gear. and off we went. stella was ready so we went for 120 mile round trip. came home to find out that my body needs to work out. stella has a nice solo seat with a back rest. but I guess my back problems from the past came back to haunt me. as well as my knee problems. I went back to the storage unit to put stella away for tonight. I could hardly move. after I put her away I duck walked to my jeep. and could just manage to get in. I was in tears. I guess months of winter and using the shovel I did something? have a doctors apt on the 21st will see how that goes. I did enjoy the ride though

    Why?

    42. As people get older, their "why" questions do tend to become ever more existential. The "why" seeks reason, and to qualify as a proper answer, the answer must have meaning behind it. In Douglas Adam's popular book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" the number 42 is given as the ultimate answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. 42 is also the atomic number of the element molybdenum, the angle in degrees of a rainbow, the Messier designation of the Orion Nebula, the number of generations in St. Matthew's genealogy of Jesus and the number of months the Beast holds dominion in the End Times. There were 42 principles of Ma'at in ancient Egypt leading to the personification of 42 gods. And in the Babylonian Talmud and Kabalistic tradition, there are 42 letters in the secret name of God. now WHY did I look this up WHY?
  21. prayers sent. I don't know how I missed this?
