I might jump in on this meet. depends on how things are going with my brother in-law. but I think a few rootbeers and meet . just might be what I need. gives me a good excuse to just get away for a while. and ease my mind. been like 2 weeks or more since I been out for a ride. I am sure my sister and niece will understand.

got er done. it was not as bad as I thought. cleaned the filter like the kit said too do. rinsed it from the inside out. let it dry over night as I was in no hurry to get back to the bike. oiled it like the kit said to do. changed the oil with 10w 40 Castrol for motorcycle usage? total time to do this not counting the overnight drying was around an hours time. total cost to me because I di it myself $12.00 for the charge kit and around $45 for oil and new filter could not find that pre filter for the K&N. but put one on order I will install that next oil change or as soon as I get great advice on that many thanks

ok when I bought stella from leadwolf56 or should I say tinkerbell his wife? it has a K&N air filter on it.with some of the back roads stella and I have been on and the cement dust in this town I live in. I have now reached the time for an oil change and some basic maintenance. but I was told I have to get a recharge kit to clean a K&N air filter is this true? also what is the best oil for this Honda shadow ace 750? I can do this myself as I am not going to pay $125 for an oil change and air filter clean that sounds high to me maybe not? I have an owners manual as well as a full repair manual. and I know I can do this.

they can not operate on him. he can now talk? but it is hard to understand him. he gets confused a lot. so with a heavy heart my sister will bring him home for what will most likely be his final days a nurse will come in and help my sister. he wants to die at home? doctors said with the brain bleeding. at best we will have him for maybe 2 months. he will go into a coma like state. and breathing will stop. and sad to say that will be the end. this will be our 8th family member to die in 3 years in the last 20 years I have lost 8 family members and 10 friends. this will be hard on my sister. and her grand daughter who they raised. I am so thank full for this wonder full site and outstanding people some I never even met in person. who have gave me so much here I just want to say thank you all so much sincerely james AKA oldgoat.

he has been sent in for A MRI still cant speak or move his left side. knows who we are but cant do nothing but blink to simple yes and no questions.. his face is swollen and docs say he might be bleeding in his brain.. after the MRI they will make the choice to attempt the risky operation or not? thanks every one james AKA old goat

hello every one I could sure use some prayers. it is for my sister and her husband my brother in-law had a stroke about 3 years ago did ok and came out of it with complications. like motor skills and being weak. he has some kind of problem in his brain that can not be operated on? he quit drinking and smoking and followed doctors instructions to the letter. well at 6:00 am I get a call from my grate nice his granddaughter and my sister saying Dan my brother in-law had a bad stroke. and hit the floor. he is on his way to Peoria hospital in IL doctors here said it is not good. his brain is bleeding where the main problem was before. he can not walk or talk. can only blink yes and no to questions. I am praying they can some how fix him but it is not looking good. he is only 65 years old a Vietnam veteran. and an over all good person. I have to say maybe Vietnam took his toll on him with that agent orange crap? so if you can please offer up a prayer to the big man upstairs many thanks to you all sincerely james AKA oldgoat

nice trip you 2 are doing. but what is up with you on a Yamaha venture and wearing a Harley hat? it is ok I ride a Honda shadow. and I have a venture guarding bell. but I do wear Honda shadow t shirts and a American flag hat guess that could be a problem? a jap bike and a American flag hat? I do wear red white and blue socks sometimes too.

for those who want to see it I will post a picture next time I change the dressing. for some reason a burn hurts more at night? just when you want to go to bed.

thanks I have tylenol3 with codine for the pain. I placed lose gauze on it. it still stings and I am sure it will for a while. the doctor did call in some ointment for it. stinks like hell? but makes the burn feel cool. the nurse said a lot of people make the mistake of buying sunburn type of spray to sooth the burning feeling . she said that traps in the heat as you need to let the wound seep and stay moist? she said this will take about 2 weeks to fully heal? just keep it covered use the ointment. keep it away from heat even the sun. if I am care full I can still ride the motorcycle? I like that nurse LOL

thanks stickhandle2 I have 2 plants. I will try that. I must say I believe that it is a 2nd degree burn? you can see the patter of a bolt head in the center of the burn. looks like I been branded. this is not the first time I done something stupid like this. I am sure it wont be the last.

went for a nice ride today. around 200 miles brought the motorcycle to the place I store it at. drove it into the unit. forgot when you do that it is hard to get off the bike. so I tried to swing myself off the bike. my right pants leg came up to my knee. I felt this strange pain shoot up my leg. I look down at a golf ball size blister it went and popped on it,s own. hurts like hell. got home iced it down bought burn spray and cream not sure? do you cover a burn? or let air get to it? I think my motorcycle loves me though. because the burn is shaped like a heart now? heat shields work but yep they get hot. I learned my lesson get off your lazy butt and push the bike into that 5x10 storage unit.
