  1. I found mine for 50 a piece at a dealership because a few years back someone ordered them and they just hung on to them. That made me a guaranteed come back customer
  2. I dropped my bike at the Iron Horse campground in Sturgis. The grass was super soft and there was a big hole that i didnt see and when she started going down i just grabbed her and let her down easy. Turned around, did a squat, ppicked her up set her on the side stand and i was golden
  3. You got a couple confirmed kills for sure
  4. Well if the deer wasnt dead before, we know it is now
  5. Ohh man I bet the dogs were smelling you fierce when you got home!
  6. So I work a weekend shift which has some pretty weird hours. We work 5 to 5 friday and saturday and 12 noon to 12 midnight on sundays. Well it was too beautiful outside yesterday to NOT take the bike to work and I was right. It was a nice ride! So anyways we finish up work and a co-worker and I stop at a buddy's for about an hour after work. When we're ready to leave I ask my co worker if i can follow him home, because I'd much rather follow a car in the middle of the night than be out by meself (or so i thought). So we take off and about 5 miles from town I'm riding about 500 ft behind him give or take. And he dries over a huge dead raccoon! He went right over, didnt hit his brakes or swerve or signal in anyway and by the time that i saw the coon in the road it was too late to swerve so I grabbed on tight. I've never hit anything that made me bounce like that before i swear it felt like the front wheel came off the ground. Anyways it just made me think about how easy it is to wreck on a bike. If i would have tried to swerve or have been on a smaller bike I probably could've went down. I decided after that to let him get a quarter mile ahead of me and just rode home that way. Turns out following a car and trying to use his headlights just doesnt work very well. Anyways i havent looked at the bike in the light yet, but if there's any damage i'll let you guys know:fingers-crossed-emo
  7. Well we're glad that you're going to be ok and ended up (mostly) in one piece! I think I'm going to add a headlight modulator to my bike, It seems that people really dont watch the road these days.
  8. It looks like a good trailer, I'm trying to find a way to bring my dog with me on my trips

    YAT!

Didnt the first year stallions have some terrible design flaw that they never have over looked? You have to open a door to get into the damn thing
  10. I wonder if any members have these on their bikes? I'd love to see how they'd look on one:lightbulb:
  11. How much does one of these weigh?
  12. I think you can just strap it down with the two front crash bars and the two back crash bars. If i remember thats what we did. We left it on the side stand too.
  13. Ohh Canada! Now that would be something!!! Whats the weather like up there?
  14. I will definitely check out both links! Who knows maybe i'll be contributing to your local economy soon!
  15. So I'm ready for a change in pace and location and I was wondering if anyone has heard of any job opportunities in their area. I've got experience in the automotive field and i have an auto tech degree, however i'm not too interested in being a mechanic. I'm the assistant team leader in my department at the factory i work at now, but i think it will be kind of neat seeing what you guys have around your areas for opportunities. I dont mind hard work and i've got that small town attitude!

    Sad day

Sorry to hear that Buddy! I think people can get more attached to their pets than other people even. Remember, Time heals all wounds
  17. Hey guys! I notice a noise coming from what i believe is the front curb-side cylinder that i believe sounds like a loose timing chain. I first noticed this noise putting the bike into the garage. It was late at night and i have to drive up a curb to get into the garage and, being the nice guy that I am, I didnt want to wind the bike up and wake up the neighbors. So i was essentially lugging the engine, but it wasnt the usual lugging noise, it almost sounded like something flapping around up front. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything like this? Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!!!
  18. Sturgis is pretty close to me only about a days ride. I'm sure I can help if its gonna be that close
  19. I dont know how you bled your clutch, but if you use the old pump up method you can actually squeeze a bubble of air into a hundred little bubbles making it really difficult to bleed all the way. If all this other stuff doesnt work, just got out and put a vacuum to the bleed port for the clutch. Just make sure you dont pump up the clutch before hand. I just use a clear plastic hose and a little hand vacuum pump. Just dont do what I did and suck the system completely dry!!!
  20. Eventually i'll get a two tone brown 85 with all the bells and whistles like mine and completely restore it! Only with the necessary upgrades from venturerider.org!
  21. At least your catching it. With my hobbies i wouldnt notice mixups like that out of the usual
  22. It was the axle bolt but he overtightened it
  23. This was awhile ago, maybe it was no big deal. I'll look tomorrow before i go to work and try to figure out what the heck he tightened lol
  24. Looks like something i'll need to buy
  25. Thank you for the info. I think I'm going to do the valve adjustment myself. Which means i'll be doing research a-plenty. I want to replace my front wheel bearing because for whatever reason my dad thought it was loose and tightened it without a torque-spec. It squeaks now at slow speeds and I think I'm just going to buy all new bearings and spoil my girl. And honestly anything else you can think of will really help. I really want to make her sing!
