  1. Sorry to hear about your father. Thoughts and prayers are with you:bighug:
  2. Hahaha thats an excellent point! I went to the color rite website and yeah they do want bucu bucks for their paint but since they claim they're the only ones with OEM Yamaha paint, I'll probably pay it just for authenticity. Thanks for the info though guys!
  3. I'll be doing this to my RSV this winter too. I'm putting the leveling links on, so I may have to fight it just a little to make sure I keep the tire off the ground.
  4. I actually was just thinking that to myself. I'm picky about my bike and I doubt I'd let his disassemble it. Either way though that is not a bad price. I graduated from an automotive college and my friend went through the painting course. He painted his bike and got best in class and second best in show for the car show he took it to. So I need hardener and flex stuff? I'm sure he'll know all of this but I'm just trying to get my grounds covered. I'm going with the tri-coat color rite matching stuff too. Might as well spend some money!
  5. Hahaha Win!
  6. Looking for some advice on a repaint. Exactly how much paint did you need? Any info would be much appreciated
  7. Sorry I didn't quite understand your first post I thought you were referring to two different bikes Lol. May I ask how much it was to do the trailer?
  8. Thats exactly what i was thinking when i ordered them. I'm going to try the snap ring method described on either this site or the venturers
  9. Which year is the gorgeous silver and red combo
  10. So using the parts described will it be enough to shoot the oil or will it just sort of run out
  11. Well I dont know if I'm posting this in the right forum. But I'm hoping to find the paint code for the 2003 red and silver model. I'm going to repaint my 99 those colors and I'm hoping for the right code or something really close! Any info will be much appreciated!!!
  12. Well I just placed an order for an OEM set of slip ons for 55 bucks. They came off an 08 Tour Deluxe and I gotta tell you i'm excited to get the ugly old rust bucket slips off my bike.
  13. Personally I'd remove the side bags every time I wash the bike. I ride in the winter here and we occasionally get that nasty salt/slime on the road. I figure if i'm going to spend an hour cleaning it i might as well get the tops of the pipes and the backs of the bags right?! Plus that rear fender is hard for me to fit my hand around and hat would make cleaning that a breeze!
  14. Aha! Thats it! Thank you so much sir!
  15. If i remember right someone sells screw on replacements for the nuts and bolts that hold the second gen saddle bags on. Would like to get in contact with this person
  16. Looking at the pictures you showed me, and this picture from The Venturers website it looks like you can put a small line where I've marked it with a blue arrow. This will be putting the oil where it needs to be right? Will it have enough pressure to squirt or is it just a trickle?
  17. Would that I basket be for sale by chance?
  18. So has anyone done this yet?
  19. I'll gladly be along for the ride when you make the switch
  20. I've always felt safe in Northeast Nebraska. Really nice people around here for the most part. But last week my dirt bike was stolen right out side of my house.
  21. Oh wow that is neat! I, for the first time today, saw a crow in her own nest!
  22. I eventually would like to go to school to be a veterinarian or at least to work with animals.
  23. I'm sorry to hear that Freebird, i didnt see that post. That is pretty neat though, i've been thinking about getting a rose breasted cockatoo or a macaw of some sort
  24. This artical makes me glad that im one of the few 21 year olds with a practical comfortable touring bike
  25. Just curious if anyone here has any pet birds? Or any pets for that matter?
