  1. That's a beautiful bike. Same color as my 88! I took mine to the west coast and back from Nebraska this year. You'll friggin love it!
  2. So I have a pretty pitted, gashed up and nasty inner fork tubes. I'd like to buy a new one online, but i'm not having much luck finding anything new. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has an inner fork tube for sale, or possibly even the left fork assembly that doesn't leak oil that I could just swap for the pitted, nasty one. Its for my 1988 Yamaha Venture Royale. Appreciate it in advance guys!
  3. If you decide to keep her we'll help you with the repairs the whole way!
  4. My goodness! Glad you're Ok! Kind of a tough way to find out you had a dragging brake.
  5. I had this happen this year in the hills. For me you couldn't tell that the fluid was down because it actually sucked the rubber bout into the reservoir taking up the open space. It literally looked full until I opened it
  6. Super inspiring puc!
  7. I always thought the venture could benefit from a sixth gear
  8. I've never been up there, but I'm thinking they wont have any problems funding the second one
  9. Maybe you had excessive dust in the tire packed in where you wouldn't notice and the ride on got thick soaking the dust up. Its just a guess
  10. I always try to volunteer for the jobs I'm best at lol
  11. Thank you! I appreciate it!
  12. Hey guys, looks like you're all stuck with me for another year. Just re-upped and couldn't be happier!

Sounds like you've just broken her in!
  14. Glad to hear you, her and the bike are all in decent shape! Too bad that things like that have to happen. I noticed its been a bad year for accidents on this site. Ride safe everyone and I will try to do the same
  15. Hey guys, the rear brake rotor is shot on my bike and I'm having a hard time finding a new one. Where do you guys get yours?
  16. What a gorgeous bike. Those kids will be with you for every mile on that bike. You should be proud!
  17. I'd go to my local auto store and pick up a radiator pressure tester. Put some pressure in the system and go to town
  18. Pull that pilot screw out completely and run an E or B guitar string through the orifice. Got mine running on a sweet 4 cylinders that way. If that doesn't do it start by checking for vacuum leaks.
  19. Glad you got a happy one up there Puc. On my way to Colorado a few years ago I was heading west on 80 and ran across a group of 20 some weary travelers who were just walking and living life to find a place they could call their own. I sat out and talked with them for a little while and they were a really nice group. One of the gas stations at that exit wouldn't serve them saying they were bad people and bad for business. I just felt so bad for them
  20. Yeah I was thinking there may be an easier way of making them work.
  21. Congrats man! Heres to another 42 years
  22. Exactly. I'm glad flyinfool piped up because I could never explain it properly. I would definitely like my vents to work cuz it makes a heck of a difference when its hot during the day and I find myself stuck in shorts at night
  23. Yup that is exactly it. I'm trying to find a good reliable set and will pay big money
  24. I don't believe the 83s and 84s had the side panel grill like I'm talking about. Maybe I can send you my good one to see what you could do
  25. Now I have a very serious question. Can you 3d print the materials needed to make the side panel vents for the first gen ventures?
