Stebel Air Horn question/discovery...
starkruzen replied to bamico's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Carbonone, I bought one of your mounts and wiring harness a while back and it worked GREAT! I sold my RSTD and bought a Road star midnight silverado. Now I want to install another Sebel air Horn. I was wondering if you could make a wiring harness for it. It just needs to be longer because the horn is mounted on the left of the bike in front of the floor board. Do you think you could help me out! Thanks Mark Starkruzn -
I agree with changing the seats. Do you remember what mustang seat you got? I have no experience with the mustang seats. I had the Corbin dual tour seat when o had my HD FXDL. Nice seat but a little stiff. The wife loved it. You think the Mustang would be better? Thanks Mark

Thanks Mike for the offer however, I found a Road Star locally and I love it!

I traded my 07 RSTD for a 07 Road Star Silverado Midnight. It was in like new condition with 7200 miles. The "ole" girl served me well but it was just a little hefty for me. The Road Star is just perfect. I can firmly plant both feet on the ground and it's a 100 PBS lighter. This bike has loads of torque and when you shift it in 5th it actually feels like an overdrive. The RPM's drop like a rock and you can cruise all day at 70 no problem. It is not as comfy for my wife, but she never rode that much with me. It's what makes you happy right! Mark:bagpipes-emoticon:

I'm looking to trade my 07 RSTD for a Road Star. I need something a tad bit smaller and lighter. What do you think my chances are to find someone or a dealer that would swap a used Road Star for my RSTD? I just posted it on eBay to try and sell it, but it would ne nice to trade straight up. Your thoughts? Thanks Mark:fingers-crossed-emo

:soapbox:From a thread here I purchased the HID head light kit from a manufacturer in Canada. This was a plug and play easy install. Before I putit all back together I tried and it worked as promised. Then testing again and all was fine. When secured all wiring I tested again and nothing. I hear the igniter but no light. I checked all wiring and all tested fine. Tested again a nothing. No ignitor buzz or light. So I took it all off. Any clues, suggestion other than returning it. Thanks:confused24:

Had a day off today so I took the old girl out for a ride. Was out for about an hour riding along the coast of Palm Beach on A1A. It was a picture perfect day, blue skies, clear blue water along the beach. About thirty minutes into the ride I was practically soaked with sweat. I just don't recall it being so hot hear in south Florida. The winds were calm the seas were flat calm. Temperature was 93 humidity was also in the nineties. I really wanted to ride more but it was just too freaken hot!

After 30 + years I finally did it - not for faint of heart

That's why the manufacturer installs blade guards for. But when the end user removes the safety devices (blade guards) the out come is always bad. Safety first always. I hope you get better soon and get back to riding. In the interim, reinstall the blade gaurd -
You Yankees are too funny if your not complaining about the cold weather you complaining it's too hot. Just ride while you can and enjoy!
