    I have been waiting about 3 weeks for the free shades and went to the website and noticed that Yamaha has put in a block to it if you don't have the 7 digit code from the postcard they mailed out. Must be alot of people were using this link to get the shades. Hope I got my order in before they found out what was going on.

    I put a Clearview shield on my 09 and love it. It is wider than the stock shield and the way it is curved moves the rain around you instead of on you.

    The company I work for is a large supplier of plastic parts for Yamaha atv's, watercraft and golf carts. I spent a lot of time in their plant when I was the quality rep for them. The place is amazing. Everything is built start to finish there and everything is tested before it is crated and shipped. It is a good place to work.

    I hope the rider pulls through if he made it. It seems that lately more and more bikers are going down at rallies doing stupid things that they would not normally do. If they just take their time and ride smart, they will see everything and be able to go back home in one piece.

    GETTING READY TO HEAD OUT TO BEAUFORT, SC TO SEE THE BLUE ANGELS THIS WEEKEND. THEY PUT ON AN AWESOME SHOW AND IT'S GOOD TO SEE OUR BOYS SHOWCASE THEIR TALENT. THE WEATHER IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT'S TIME TO RIDE. WILL POST SOME PICTURES AFTER THE TRIP.

    I just put a set of E3s on my 09 Venture. So far I like them. I only have about 200 miles on them but seem to handle really well with no no slip. I have ram the Avon Venoms on my 97 Royal Star for years, loved the way they handled, but the cracks were any ugly feature to them. I wanted the Michelin Commander 2, but they are not available yet. They are oem on the Indians though. We have a weekend trip to Charleston next weekend to see the Blue Angels and will get a good feel for the Dunlops then.:Venture:

    I have subscriptions to three bike mags, the best by far, in my opinion is the Motorcycle Consumer News. What I like about them is none of the mfgers have them in their pockets and that allows them to call it as they see it.

    Do your homework before buying.......... 1. Check blue book value of bike 2. Remember, dealers only give no more than 50% value for add ons, such as the seat, lights, anything else that was added to the bike but try to get full retail. 3. Try to get a 30 day warranty with....just in case. The bike looks good in the pics, but as earlier said in another post, you need to see the bike and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Question everything. Good luck

    Have you ever heard the engine noise on a harley? It reminds me of two nuts in a coffe can. Every bike has some sort of mechanical noise. There is even some nosie on the wing, from the shaft. Pick your poison and enjoy it.

    I"ve had two..............a 1997 1st gen Royal Star and now a 2009 Venture S. No comparison between the two, but love them both.
