I thought it was pretty funny. Like has been said, it was so over the top it was comedic. Let the Minivan set have their fun. Notice they took the least cool (minivan Dad) and the most cool (biker) and flipped them. Parody is flattery. No offense taken. It means we're the coolest.

Your home ground may be covered up a little but it's front and center Squeeze. I personally like the logo and if "Get on and ride" doesn't say motorcycles I don't know what does. I've never heard a cager talk like that and we sure don't look like we could afford horses. Don, I'm with you on the pins and patches. I would much rather buy what I want then have someone send me something I may or may not wear. My vest is about full anyway. I have the VR pin now and wouldn't replace it or add a patch anyway. I will buy a few T-Shirts though. I will say that if we do have someone who is an artist (Not Me) that it would be pretty cool to have some graphics on a shirt like we see with others (Eagles, Dragons etc) on the back but that doesn't mean to change the logo. It could just be cool graphics with the motto and the logo in the front. I would buy those too.

Did you then pull the kid over and "Slap the S&(*%" out of him? -
I love the stuff. Never had any issues. I agree though, 5 years is a long time to have the same rubber. I can't even get one.

I'm 51 now and figure I'll be able to pull a trigger just fine for another 20 years at least. Give me a call if he gets out. That's just how we do things here in Buford. The Kudzu here could hide a 747 let alone a body.

One good thing is they really can't make you meet standards that didn't exist at the time the bike was manufactured so with a bike lilke the 1st and 2nd Gens tht will run forever, we'll be able to skip this stuff for another 10 years. (My wife wouldn't let me buy another bike for that long anyway.

Thanks Barend. I did that and there is a conflict clause. They can't do anything on the side. I do have one trying to hook me up with a former student though.

Thanks guys. Actually I my have an opportunity at a 2 year contract job and a basic knowledge of welding would be a huge help. I did some torch welding in HS but nothing since. I have some basic knowledge but I need someone to tutor me in MIG, Stick and TIG welding. The contractor is doing some of the up-armoring for the military Humves.

It's all about the engine. That's the heart and soul so she's a Yamaha no matter what kind of dress she's wearing.

I am in need of some instruction in welding. If anyone is a certified welder or instructor who would be willing to spend a few hours with me (for a fee http://www.patriotguard.org/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif ) please give me a call. 678-823-3003. Thanks.

rear tire change procedure
loehring replied to Hummingbird's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
This may be a question for the "Dark Siders" but I have a friend who put a CT on his RSV with only 76psi to get it to seat. He said that he used a wire brus to get the sticky stuff off the bead and then used tire lube. He said it seated with 76psi. That doesn't sound bad at all compared to the 100psi+ stories I've heard. Has anyone else got a similar story? Just curious. -
I don't know if I want a picture of 2 sweeties fighting around my bike. :rotfl::rotfl: Opps. Sorry. Not very PC but then we are bikers. :dancefool:

Don't forget the hinges and speedo that say "Midnight". Those are worth hundreds.

Get excited!! He probably saved you a lot of headache. That wasn't the right bike for you and the perfect match is just waiting for you to find it. I had an '89 and absolutely loved it so keep looking and the right one will show up. It's a karma thing. People and their bikes just have a way of finding eachother.

We'll be praying for him Monty. What's that they say, "it's always darkest before the dawn"? Glad he's ok.

I'm an "F" as well. I love this bike and it will be a few years before I even consider replacing it. Maybe by 2020. I am interested in all the new models just because of curiosity but I'm not in the market so I really don't care. My dealer was really honest when I asked last week. He said he knew nothing for certain and didn't want to spread rumors. I'm in there a lot so he said when he KNEW something he would let me know.

What do these plugs say
loehring replied to BuddyRich's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Transmission fluid in the gas?! That is completely new to me. I have never heard of that. Will that really work? -
Wow. This is a bit of a surprise thread for me. I have a Zumo 550 and I have never had any issues. The one time I had a problem with my previous unit Garmin replaced it free with a new set of maps even though it was well out of warranty. I have never had anything but great response from their support people. I wonder if this has something to do with the Navteq group? Either way it's good to know there have been problems with this. I never respond when something like this first comes out though. Too many people tying up the process. I think I'll wait a couple weeks and give them a call. Maybe tey will have the bugs out by then. Thanks for posting az1103. You probably saved my some grief.

We're all still praying Kenny. Keep your spirits up. -
Lots of pins and patches on the vest but no stickers on the bike. If I really want to do that I'll start driving an old Volkswagen van.

When you have the location pictured you click on the little clock icon. That gives you historical data on that location. Have a look at the bottom left of the picture and you'll see an image date. (This is for Google Earth)
