I liked my RSTD much better than the RSV since I rode solo anyway. Bought a Road Star and really love it. 6k is a great deal on an 08.

If you are leaning towards a TD I encourage you to check out a Road Star Silverado with shield and bags as well. It doesn't hurt to compare. I thought my TD was a great fit and ride for me but found the Road Star much better for me especially in town. Like the Royal Star you can find some sweet deals on them.

Having owned both my experience was that I felt more a part of the bike on the Tour Deluxe than the Venture. I could maneuver the TD much easier and that might be the faring difference. The Venture has more wind protection although the TD isn't bad. I am riding a Road Star now and for me the fit is perfect. I do miss cruise control and the larger saddle bags. This is a great site and if you hang around you will get the best advice and make great friends. For the money you can't go wrong with a Royal Star and a membership to this site!

Go to Mexico it is cheaper there! If you can, save your teeth, you won't regret it! At the age of 60 I finally got braces and it is well worth the expense.

I have been pleasantly surprised a tho much I enjoy my 08 Road Star. I have had both the RSV and Tour Deluxe loving them both. The Road Star is more agile in town but takes to the highway great. Windshield lowers are a must to get past buffeting. No cassette player or cruise but I use a throttle lock. With a bit of searching you can pick them up at a very reasonable price.

I have Led and installed the Kuryakyn load equalizer so my rear turn signals work as brake lights plus you get the flashing brake light. It plugs right into the wiring harness on my Road Star. Very happy with it!

I was looking at a 5x10 from one of our farm supply stores but was patient and kept searching for an Aluma trailer. For the same price, $1000, I scored a 3 place Aluma trailer with clocks and ramps that store under the bed, new LED lights, and two spares. It weighs less, won't rust, has chrome wheels, and pulls well with our MKX. I would suggest looking for a used Aluma trailer for about the price of the other.

Instead of firing up my original post I decided to start a new one with an update. I called PayPal and my tracking number confirming delivery was proof enough for them. The case will be closed today. I feel sorry for the guy since the package was stolen. I had sent him an email early on asking what he wanted me to do but instead of replying he filed a claim with PayPal. It will be interesting to see what kind of feedback he leaves. I have a feeling my 100% rating is going to drop! Lesson learned: pay the extra to require a signature!

The buyer asked me to file a loss package claim so I did. I haven't heard anything.

He took his claim to the next level so I should know soon what PayPay decides.

The money was taken out of my account but the buyer has to prove his point with PayPal before he is refunded. If PayPal rules in my favor the money is returned. I filed with UPS and we will see what they decide but I believe I have a good case for PayPal. He owns an audio business that he runs from his home which may make him a bit of a target.

I have same questions

He owns an audio business that installs systems in churches.... Do I tip my hand and tell him I am a pastor? Ha! He has a website. So, I am sure he gets audio gear shipped to his house often. Maybe someone thought they were stealing audio stuff. If I owned an audio business and had stuff shipped to my house I would ask shipper to require a signature. It was dropped off after 9 pm as I have tracked the package.

I was a Road Star seat so I doubt he was a member here. Here is his original message: I found the tracking #. I hope you insured the seat, because UPS drop'd it over my fence last night after 9pm. It disappeared after that. The sheriff is out looking for it.

He filed a claim with PayPal so now I have a negative balance. He paid before the item was shipped. In his claim he says the package was left on the street but I have a message where he said it was dropped over the fence. How does he even know it was stolen? It could have been left at the wrong address. It was delivered after 9 pm as I tracked the package myself. I really don't think he is out to scam me. I think He wants to recoup his money from me. If PayPal refunds his money I may be done with PayPal.

I love Roku. It has a ton of Apps - some free and others require a subscription. If you have Amazon Prime you have access to free movies.

Thanks for the perspectives. If he asked asked me to send it with signature required I would have. I contacted him at least 3 times before I shipped and twice after. I never heard from him until the day of the lost package when he asked for the tracking number (which I had already sent) and he replied an hour later saying it was stolen. He has excellent rating on Ebay and I don't think he is trying to pull one over on me. I feel bad for him but know I did my part. Thanks again!

Tracking shows it was dropped at 9:05 pm

I sent a seat set with sissy bar to a guy who purchased it on Ebay. Got a message from him that UPS dropped it over the fence at 9:00 pm last night and someone took off with the package. I did not insure or require a signature but the package automatically has a $100 insurance for loss. My UPS shipper said once the package is dropped they are not responsible. How do I settle with this guy or do I? He said he filed a police report.

I have a pair of Diamond Gusset jeans with Kevlar in excellent shape that I want to pass on. I've lost mucho weight and they are too big. They are size 50x32 and I will take anything some one wants to give me that's fair. If you really want them and are low on cash, you can have them for shipping cost.
