  1. Sold pending payment! Thanks for your interest.......
  2. I didn't know they were supposed to have end tips......They are as long as the OEM pipes.
  3. I think they sound nice - not loud but nice rumble....
  4. From what I read on various forums the Venture Krome Werks are the same as the Harley with the brackets - I could be wrong though. I bought them new on Ebay and got them at a decent price as well. They've only been on the bike since this spring and I probably have about 1,000 miles on them - maybe a bit more.
  5. I have these forsale in the classified section for 150 bucks. It is good price for the pipes, brackets and clamps.
  6. Yes - you can read my other post on the subject. Sorry about that!!
  7. This event has been cancelled...thanks
  8. Bryan, You can take a week's vacation and ride down to Nashville with me. I'm riding the Ventune down where Andy from Indiana will pick it up and I'm picking up the Goldwing trike while there. I leave July 4th after church - I can swing by Osky on the way down and you can ride along!! Ride over and see Cougar - he will sync your carbs!!! Mark
  9. If others step up and want to do it - the offer of using my place is still open. The friendship and fellowship is always great. My summer schedule gets busier and busier and I don't have time to organize it right now. I have two Saturday's this summer where there isn't something big happening. Anyway - that's where I'll leave it. The only open date is July 24th.. Mark
  10. I really hate to cancel the Maintenance Day but due to a couple of circumstances I feel the need to do so. I'm kind of mechanically inclined but not enough to be the oversee this event. Others who were planning to help aren't certain they can make it so I feel it is best to call it off early instead of waiting until a week or so before the event and having to make the call. If one of our members wants to step up to the plate and take over I'm more than willing to let this group use my four garage stalls for that day. Another small factor I switched over and am riding a Goldwing trike. I found a great deal on an 02 and my goal is for my wife to ride with me. Again, I apologize from the bottom of my heart for you who were planning to come. I had good intentions when I scheduled this event. My humble apologies, Mark
  11. I put a set of excellent Krome Werks pipes for 2nd Generation in the classifieds.
  12. I have meet so many great people on this forum and almost regretted selling the Venture for that reason. I'm glad Don added the Goldwing Forum and I can hang out there. Just pray my wife will ride the trike because I'm giving up a pretty sweet Venture to get her back on! I've been on the Gl1800riders forum and it's good place as well. I've already met some pretty neat people.
  13. George, I found the forum and did see the one about the temp. Looks cool and I'm sure I'll do that mod when I get the trike! Thanks!!!
  14. Picked this one up about 125 miles east of Nashville - well, I haven't picked it up yet!
  15. I bought an 02 Goldwing Trike - so where do I hang out, here or in the Trike forum? hmmmmmm -
  16. You will find all sorts of good advice here. The best mod I did was intalling leveling links. You can do a search and read all about it. They are easy to install and well worth the money! I also discovered that replacing my front tire made a ton of difference. You'll love the ride when you get comfortable!!
  17. I used lemon pledge one time and I was on a trip and ran out of gas. A bee landed on my windshield and said, "What's the problem?" - I said, "I'm out of gas!" The bee said, "Take off your gas cap and I'll be right back." In about five minutes a whole swarm of bees flew into my gas tanks - and then back out again. The bee said, "Go ahead and start her up." Sure enough, it fired right up. I asked the bee - how did you do that? He said, "No problem B P."
  18. Have a great time! If you ride by Newton - Honk - I might hear you!
  19. Yeah Bryan - I should have put the link in my first post! Duh! I think Redbook did an article about him a month or two ago and all the TV Stations were there when he was painting. It is neat to see what he comes up with each year.
  20. My neighbor and I took a 300 mile ride today and purposely stopped at this memorial rock. The kid paints this rock every year in memory of our Vets. One portion of the rock does not get repainted as it actually has ashes from some veterans in the paint. If you ever travel across I-80 in Iowa - turn south on highway 25 west of Des Moines - and the rock is about a mile south of the interstate on the east side of the road.
  21. If this thing keeps going you might need a preacher and I happen to know one!
  22. One of the main reason I bought them is to protect the covers from my grandkids shoes and they will serve the purpose. The key to installation is using a hair dryer to heat up the chrome molding. The biggest problem I had is getting the molding over the seams - other than that - it goes quite easily. When I wiped off one cover the leather scuffed easily. I probably shows on the tan more than the black covers. Don, I'm glad to hear they will lay down better. They aren't bad but would look nicer if they did. The hole cut out for the gas cap is the biggest eyesore. I wish there were some stitching around it or something besides cut leather. I'm glad I got the tank bra as well. There is a difference in the seat color and covers so the tank bra helps to bring it all together. They are a nice addition and thanks for the comments.
  23. They are custom made and you don't want to go through the hassle!! Trust me!!!
  24. I'm going to try to post pictures of my bike with the covers. First of all - they are a pain to put on! Second, I think the quality of leather is a bit poor and maybe the person was in a hurry when he made them. I'm okay with it but not thrilled.
