Adam - your's look way better than the ones Troy made for me. It does help to use a heat gun especially on the plastic trim. I think you have a future in this!!! dad -

Adam - I was going to wrap it up and give it to you for Christmas and your Birthday but I realized it would be too big for you!! If it doesn't sell - I can always wear it anyway - I'll just put a Goldwing patch on it!- 7 replies

I have a very nice seldom worn brown Yamaha Star leather coat in the classifieds. It is a 4XL and I wear a 2XL or 3XL and fits me with plenty of room. No vents. I'm asking $125 plus shipping.

Maybe someone else is riding up Hiway 37 in Iowa and can keep their eye out for it. I know the chances are slim - but you never know! It is probably scuffed up a bit or worse if a semi plowed over it!

I really enjoy my GL1800 trike as it takes all the stress out of riding. I find that I ride it more than my RSV just because it is much easier to roll in and out of the garage. With the trike I can put my foot pegs even lower cause they don't drag on the corners. The GL1800 is a smooth machine and I find it very comfortable for me. The stock seats stinks but the 20 buck gelpad takes care of that problem. I rode 10 1/2 hours one day and could never have done that with my RSV. Of course I'm comparing a Goldwing trike with a two wheeled RSV. I assume the RSV trike might produce the same results that I have found.

So, if you had a gl1800 trike with a good seat you would have a perfect ride!

Need Root Canal - there goes my money for safety chrome!
Godlover replied to Godlover's topic in Watering Hole
I thought about having it pulled but decided against it. When I was a kid I did not take care of my teeth so lost several teeth by the time I was 20. I just want to keep the teeth I have as long as I can. If I had time I'd head down to my son's place in Larado - go over to Mexico and have the whole thing done for $300. Just don't have that kind of time right now! -
Last week one of my back teeth started to be very sensitive to cold. Went to my dentist and he said I have a crack in my tooth and need a root canal. Of course, he can't do it so I have to go to a specialist. Cost of root canal: $800! Cost of crown: $900. Total invested in one lousy tooth: $1700!! Thought about going cheap and having it pulled but I really want to keep what teeth I have left. Don't want to do dentures until absolutely necessary. Anyway - I'm thankful I live in America where dental care is available though expensive. I can't imagine how people in other countries deal with rotten teeth and dental issues. I am blessed but I'm still whining about forking over $1700 on one tooth!
-
I'm headed down that way the second week of October. My wife and I are staying at a Condo on Table Rock just south of Branson. Hoping to take the trike and enjoy the fall leafs.
-
I'll give him your info - he told me he bought one from Ebay - so thanks for the offer. I don't know if he needs anything else.
-
I think we can all relate to that!!!
-
Thanks for trying. This is for a friend who doesn't have much money. He's on vacation this week and was planning to ride but can't cause his bike is down. I offered him my trike but he said it isn't the same as riding his own - which is true!
-
He needs the stator cover - I sent him a picture of one and he said, that's it!
-
I don't know - he just said that he cracked his crankcase cover when he fixed something in his transmission - would that be the mid drive? He cracked his because he had some gears turned around.
-
I have a friend who needs a left side crankcase cover for his 83 Venture. Anyone have one lying around? Email me at mrkyoung@gmail.com. thanks! The stator cover!!!

UPDATE: Thanks to you guys Troy Savoie is coming through!
Godlover replied to YamaDuck's topic in Watering Hole
Well, at least you don't hold it against your dad for recommending Troy! I did wait a long time and was tired of waiting. Troy did come through with the product but it was not the quality I expected. I think he did it quickly. He made an agreement with you and didn't do as promised. You have every right to file a claim and should. As a pastor I work with people who are down on their luck all the time. I have a heart for these people but when they continue to take advantage of others, lie, and keep making promises I hold them responsible for their actions. Folks, we are enabling this guy to continue poor business practices. How many times do we let him get away with his empty promises? I know many of you have waited far longer than I did for your product. I believe many don't want those who have waited less time to take action against him for fear of not getting their product. I understand it. But let's not enable him any longer. With that said - I hope Troy gets his life together and he is in my prayers. -
You are in my prayers as well!

If a person isn't ready to replace their old unit or already has a very high efficiency unit that's true. The incentives make it attractive for those of us who have older units and will need to replace them in a few years. Even with that I don't think I would pay $18,000 to put a unit in - but our cost dropped to $9,000 with incentives. A conventional high efficient unit would cost around 8,000. We live in a 3,000 sq. ft. home and our house is all electric. I would encourage anyone who is considering a new furnance/air conditioner to at least look at the incentives and prices.

It is too bad they didn't have the rebates and tax credits back in 98!! We are saving 1/2 on our installation!! I have a friend who installed his first unit in 83 and convinced me to do it.
