  1. I have the opportunity to pick up a 94 Voyager at a really good price so I'm thinking about making it my ride for the summer. Does anyone know what I need to look for before I purchase it? I am trying to find a good Voyager forum for some feedback as well.
  2. We are finishing up a vacation to South Padre Island with my son, member ajlyoung1221 on this board, and family. This afternoon I followed a Venture over the bridge onto the Island. I am wondering if it might have been a member here. By the way - we are having a GREAT time!
  3. I picked up a guitar last year and even took some lessons. I did well with the chord changes but really struggled with the strumming patterns. I practiced every day for months but wasn't improving and it frustrated me enough that I sold all my stuff. Now I'm thinking of trying to learn to play a bass guitar!
  4. Decided to go with my insurance who will go after his insurance so I can get moving on this. I have a $900 deductible but when the collect from his I'll get that back right off the top. Hoping to get working to repair the garage this week. Besides that I have two funerals to do!!
  5. All this will fall under my property insuance so the underinsured trap won't get me. I carry plenty of insurance because I have seen way too many people get hit by being under insured. There is a possibility that since there is a claim on my persoanal property and a claim on his trike - the coverage could be $30,000. But I'll let my insurance company duke it out as I will get paid one way or another. RandyR - I know 15,000 doesn't go far on the trike. All I see is surface damage but there could be frame damage. My friends are hoping that the trike is totaled - we will see!
  6. Talked to the adjuster today. The good news is his insurance will pay out even though he had a suspended license. The bad news is he only has 15000 in property damage which means our insurance company may have to make up the difference.
  7. George - I did post it on the 1800 site!
  8. He was driving with a suspended license but did have insurance. Whew!!!!
  9. The trike was hit on the side so not sure of frame damage. The couple who own it would like it totaled cause she's afraid of riding a prior damaged bike. He rode it out of the garage so I assume it can be fixed. We will see. I feel bad for them cause they worked so hard to get it.
  10. I sold my trike and the guy picked it up today and left around 1:00pm. At 1:45pm some drunk drove through my garage right where my trike was sitting. I am storing an 09 Trike for a friend that has 500 miles on it and it took a hit. Check out my pictures! What a day!!! No one was hurt!
  11. Here's the ad: http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3261
  12. I'm working on it!
  13. I'm seriously considering selling my 02 Goldwing Trike with a MotorTrike kit. I would like to free up some money. It has 25,000 miles. If you are interested just PM me. $19,000 will buy it. I'll put an ad in the classified section tomorrow or Sunday.
  14. Buy some chains for your RSV and just keep riding!!!
  15. I forgot the link!! www.1saleaday.com
  16. I have one of these Kodak Video cameras and it does an awesome job for the money. I videoed a friend preaching so he could send it to a church that was considering calling him as a pastor and the video and sound were very good. It is 49 bucks today only. You will want to invest in a SD carrd for more video time. This works well!!!
  17. For $7500 why not get a 2nd Generation Venture - that's the best choice!!!
  18. Not sure if he had the clutch out - but I'll ask him - thanks
  19. I have a friend who has an 83 and he did some repair work on it. Now - when he pulls on the clutch lever it won't move - but when he loosens the bleeder - it will. He also can't get it to shift even into Neutral. I know he had to replace the stator cover. Any suggestions.
  20. For all you Gl1800 Goldwing people I have a really nice heated Corbin Seat that's like new in the classifieds. Check it out: http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3153
  21. This summer I attended my 40th high school reunion. I graduated from Marshalltown High School with 396 other students. While at the reunion several class members said, "Some Sunday I'm doing to come down to your church and hear you preach." Well, I've heard that statement many times in my 36 years of preaching so I took it with a grain of salt. Yesterday 11 of my classmates carpooled to Newton and came to church - then they sat in the 2nd and 3rd row right up front! It made my day!! After the service we all went out eat where we told stories and laughed til our sides hurt. It was a great day!!!
  22. Saw this today - thought I'd pass it on for those looking for a camera to mount on their cycle: http://www.1saleaday.com/
  23. I agree - the reverse on the Goldwing is SLOW and it rolls so easily. I have only used reverse a couple of times. I could get along without reverse but it is nice to have just in case!
  24. I have a Goldwing trike and absolutely love it. I ride it more often than my bike because it is a breeze to get out of the garage - I'm not lifting it. It is so easy to ride - and handles well. I don't think you will regret going to a trike!
  25. The tan leather Troy used to make mine was so soft and thin there wasn't a worry. I don't think it was the best leather though.
