Leather saddlebag cover mounting
Godlover replied to 1BigDog's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Most Auto Supply stores have that chrome plastic trim Troy used. I don't know the size but you need to use a hair dryer to heat it and be very patient! Troy probably won't respond after all the stuff that went down. I pray he got his stuff in order and that things are going better for him. -

I agree totally with Randy. I sent you a pm about what I paid for my 07 with 3 1/2 years of warranty and 1200 miles. Better deals are out there and it is a fantastic bike! -
had a bad day

Wow. Prayers sent! -
I posted last week about the creaking noise coming from the rear. My option was to get it done on warranty or do it myself. Not sure of myself I printed the info from the tech section and tackled it myself. Not a bad job and it will be easier next time. It took me a couple of hours but it is 60 miles to the dealer so that would mean two trips and four hours on the road. I will finish up tomorrow night in about 15 minutes. My torque wrench only goes to 75 lbs and the axle calls for 140 lbs. Any ideas short of buying another wrench. Thanks to those who take pictures and help with the tech forum! I love this site!

That would be a sweet ride!!! I think I need to get them synced before such a long trip!!! I'll pull the info out of the tech section and give it a whirl!

My 07 has 1500 miles on it and yesterday I noticed a noise that sounds like the old dry speedometer in the old cars. I notice it most when I slow down but if I listen closely I can hear it riding around town. I really would like to take it on a 150 mile ride later today to meet the kids for Mother's Day supper but now I'm not sure. I jacked it up and spun the tire and didn't hear it. Any ideas?

Got mine today! I had one when I had my 2000 and knew it would be one of my first purchases when I bought my TD! Thanks Larry!

I recently bought an O'neal Tirade bluetooth Helmet from Racers Edge in California. The bluetooth is built in so that drew me to this helmet. It uses the Blinc III system. I ordered an xxl helmet and I got an xl helmet in an xll box so I sent it back. They paid shipping. I got the second helmet the other day and went for a ride on a very windy afternoon. Here's my initial thoughts: FIT: It is an XLL and I have a big head. Fits nice and snug and the cheek pads press a bit on the cheeks. Not too bad but perhaps with some wear I won't notice it. NOISE: Very windy today and very little wind noise inside the helmet. I was impressed. SINC: Very easy. I have an Android. Phone: Called my wife and she heard me well and I heard her well. When a phone call is received it only comes through one speaker. I received a call while I was riding and the person seemed to not notice I was on a cycle. It was a telemarketer so I didn't ask her how I sounded! MUSIC: I had Air1 on my phone and it played well through the speakers. I need to get some mp3 songs on my phone. I noticed the speakers plug into the charging unit so a person could easily upgrade the speakers. CHARGING: The plug for charging is under the lining at the back of the helmet. Not real convenient. I do not know how long a charge will last. I guess it depends if you are listening to music or just using it for phone use. OTHER: You have to learn how to use the side button to get to the menu you need. I haven't used it enough to figure it out. INTERCOM: It does have an intercom and you can set it up for a rider. I don't have a rider so I don't need a second helmet. Overall: Well, so far so good. For $240 shipped I was willing to take the risk. It it a sharp looking full face helmet. If you are thinking Bluetooth you might look into this helmet.

I rode from Newton to Red Rock yesterday. It was a bit cool but a nice ride. My sister in law lives in Winfield. She just remarried. Her name was Jo Hary and is now Jo Williams.

Has anyone put a fender bib on your Tour Deluxe? If so, do you like it?

Where can I find speed bleeders for my tour deluxe. I did an eBay search and can't find them. -
We will probably be in the cage. Wife doesn't ride. I need to update my bike as I am on an 07 Tour Deluxe. I will watch for ya!

I am fixing up a Cavalcade and the carbs were leaking. I ordered seals for the float bowls but not o-rings for another part. Can I get o-rings from a hardware or auto parts store or do I need to get them from a Suzuki dealer? I am new to carb work.

We will be there May 9-17 in the Silver Dollar city area. Maybe we will see ya!

My wife and I plan to spend a week down there in May. Since she won't ride I will leave the bike at home.
