Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call for a woman in labor. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl , to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby. Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Mother Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry. The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed. Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place .....spank him again!"

When was it put into service - it might still have warranty and then you can take it to your local dealer. Just a thought. It has a 5 year warranty.

She is somewhat used to it since her 08 had it. I read the mixed reviews and know what you mean. I think a lot of people who buy the MKX are older and not tech savvy. Hey, I am almost there!

My wife loves her 08 Lincoln MKX. The local Lincoln dealer has a leftover 2011 and had it discounted 8,500 so we went to check it out. Before we walked out he dropped another 3 grand. It is not the totally loaded model but is very nicely equipped. Actually, the price is less than what we gave for the 08 2 years ago and it was a low miles used one. I think my wife will be sporting a new ride next week!

The road glide is nice on the road but I don't like the heat in town. I am 6'4" and always felt crowded on the Harleys. I also like the smoothness of the Yamaha.

I don't want any of it back. I've tried various programs with small weight loss. This time I did the Medifast diet plan and found it works so well for me. Someone saw me today and told me I looked like a totally different person. The biggest motivation was watching overweight people my age and above who can barely walk due to their weight. I pictured myself in that condition and decided it was not what I wanted to be. I feel great and I am thankful to have found a plan that works for me. Thanks for your comments!!!

I haven't said anything about my weight loss but this week I hit the 77 lb mark in my weight loss program. I started out to lose 40 or 50 lbs but kept going because I felt great and had more weight to lose. I started at 300 lbs and would like to end up around 200 to 210.

I've owned both and really like the Tour Deluxe better than the RSV. You will be happy with a Tour Deluxe!

Honest advice needed
Godlover replied to csf's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I believe for the money the Royal Star's are the best bike for the money. Do some shopping and you can pick up an 07 or 08 with 2 or 3 years left of warranty if you willing to go after the bike. I have found a couple of Tour Deluxes priced so well I have bought them for resell and sold for a profit. -
I am newbie to RSV but needing info about a 02 RSV
Godlover replied to Normax's topic in Watering Hole
If you find it a bit top heavy there are a couple things you can do to improve on that. I don't think you can go wrong. If tires need replaced you will fork out a few bucks for those. If you are handy, pay the 12 bucks to be a member here and these people will walk you through anything. At this price, if you find out it is not what you want, you can easily sell it for what you have in it. -

After almost 5 days in the hospital with a blood infection I am home!!! It was a long week especially since I don't sit very well. If my fever rises to 101 - then I'm back to the hospital! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers!! God is good!!

I have an infection in my blood but the cultures are not showing anything. I have to stay until I go 24 hrs with out a temp. I have a temp right now. I feel great most of the time! Thanks for your prayers.

I thought I would get out today but I am still here! I keep spiking temps and can't escape until I don't. At least I got rid of my IV and I can walk around! Thanks for your prayers.

On Monday I had an ultrasound biopsy on my prostate. It went well and by Monday evening I was feeling fantastic. On Tuesday I woke up feeling great and went to the office. Tuesday afternoon I worked in the garage for a bit but when I came into the house I had the chills. They got worse and I was shaking so hard I could hardly hold my phone to call my wife. Now I sit in the hospital as they pump antibiotics into me. My temp spiked at 103.8 for two hours! I shook for 4 hours. I may be luckily and get out tomorrow, maybe Friday. Appreciate prayers. What a week!

Some people try to be funny! Well, I told the guy I would trade for the V-star and after that he wanted me to pay him more. I really didn't need a bike so I told him, nope! He would trade the Sportster but it would be worth about the same as my Trans Am. I'd rather have the Trans Am. I'm having fun driving it. So, thanks for your input. Now I get to look for another deal! 1/2 the fun is the hunt!!!!

A guy wants to trade either a 2003 Harley Sportster 1200 Anniversary with 16000 miles or a 2009 V-star 950 with 2000 miles for my 91 Trans Am. I am leaning towards the V-star if we made the trade. Seems to be worth more. Any thoughts?

It is a great place to stop and Mahoney State Park is awesome. My nephew works at there and it is a great place to eat. The area west and south of Omaha has quite a few nice parks. Also, Desoto Bend National Park north of Omaha at Blair, Nebraska is a must stop!
