I remember that bike!

I got my non-running 96 Royal Star this morning. Turn on the ignition and fuel pump clicks so I assume it isn't the kill switch. In fact, if I hit the kill switch the fuel pump quits clicking. Push starter button and have nothing. New battery. Where would you start?
-
I would give you double what I gave for my 96!

You don't but I didn't renew my membership when it expired since I thought I had given up riding! One reason I stay with the Royal Star line is because I love this site. It is well worth joining!!!

It should be simple. Can hear the fuel pump clicking and that's it. More likely to be a switch. Has a new battery

How did my truck get upside down?

Let's see if the pictures will upload. I have the green F100 for sale for only $750. I bought the Royal Star outright from the kid so I will see if I get it running. I did have the guy who drove through my garage! No more Road Glide! Indeed to update my info!

Keep it over there!!! We were in the 60's today but northern Iowa is in a winter storm warning for tonight. We need the rain so we will take it.

Some of you who have been here for awhile might remember me! I show up from time to time with a different Royal Star each time. I think I've had 3 Tour Deluxes and 2 RSV - I might have missed one! Ha! I sold my last TD last May and didn't ride all summer. Instead I bought a 65 F100 and went to work on it. Well, last month I picked up to 62 F100 Unibodies in a package deal so right now the stable has a 65 F100 - and a 62 F100 - with the other F100 sitting outside. I might be trading one of my 62's for a 96 Royal Star. Looks like a nice bike but it isn't running. Push the starter button and it is click, click, click. It has a new battery so I am assuming it is a poor connection or solenoid - hopefully. If I make the trade - you will be seeing me on this site for awhile.

Anyone coming to Newton? I will be working. http://www.iowagrandrally.com/

While I was working at the Speedway this weekend I met a guy who offered me an 86 Venture that he bought from a lady whose husband died. It had sat since 1996 so he took the tank off and had it lined and installed new tires. The carbs are off and he assumes they need to be gone through. He wants to move on to another project and I can get it for a good price. I don't do carbs. I had carbs redone on the Cavalcade I flipped. Does anyone on this forum rebuild carbs and what can I expect to pay. I really don't need another project as I want to finish up my 65 F100 but this one is tempting me!!!!

How did you come out? If you had a bad experience other members might like to know so we avoid a place with poor service.

I remember reading a long time ago on a forum that a good way to keep the brake and clutch fluid fresh is to use a turkey baster and suck out the fluid in the reservoirs every time you change oil. Just be certain you don't pull on the levers. Did I dream that or would that work on our Royal Stars? Just wondering......

I picked up this 05 Tour Deluxe in Omaha this morning. Rode it 190 home in the rain. It was exactly what I expected!! Now to get it cleaned up after the rain.
-
I am headed to Omaha tomorrow to pick up a new to me 05 Tour Deluxe! I have been keeping my eye open for one in my price range and this one came up! I know I'll take some heat from some of you old timers but don't you just love it when I come back from time to time!

This isn't a Trans Am Forum but there seems to be vast knowledge on this site. Since I bought my 91 Trans Am with a 305 Tune Port - it is hard to start after it sits for two days. If I pump the gas some it will eventually start - once it starts it seems good. Then - about two weeks ago it started to act like the fuel filter was plugged. So I replaced the filter and the MAT sensor. Seems to run better but still runs like it has bad gas. At a stop sign - I drop it into first (it is an auto) and drive it hard through the gears and it runs great. Any ideas?
