I guess I'm not loyal at all. When it comes time to renew on the bike, I check everywhere. Whoever is the cheapest, I go with. I would have never thought to check Esurance on the bike until my wife was rear ended in the Explorer by someone who had Esurance. They were awesome to work with and took care of everything with the car. I had Progressive on the bike, but Esurance was $100 cheaper, so I went with them. The policy is actually with Atlas out of Ohio, but I deal strictly with Esurance. Atlas did call me 2 weeks after I paid the premium to make sure I recieved everything and if they could help in any way. I was impressed! But, come August I will do the search again and go to whoever is offering the best rate. (Progressive went up $60 last year in VA because of a "change in policy" they could not explain to me) With the cars, I have been with Geico since 2002; although I do do a quick search once a year to find out where they stand. If it's a decrease of more than $50, I'll switch. So far, they have stayed comparable. Insurance companies aren't loyal, who should I be?

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of a HD and I have ridden several. My dad has a 2002 Electra Classic and the father in law has a 2003 Ultra Classic....for a long haul I'll take my Venture any day of the week, and they won't admit it but they would too. My bike just has so much more power than theres not to mention just more comfortable to sit on. I'll have a Harley one day, but it won't be for long trips, I'll keep my RSV for that. I'd like to have a Street Glide just to ride around the house and for days under 300 miles. Ben

I started late.....didn't start riding until I was 26 in 2008....bought a 2000 V-Star 1100 Classic, rode it 49 weeks before I bought my RSV! Never again a small bike!!! Ben

Self admitted mechanically UN-inclined here.....I'd like to do this also. Is this something that could be done at MD by someone who is willing to teach me a few things? If you do, I promise to be a good student and pass on the knowledge down the road. Or, I could just plop some cash down! Riderduke taught me the basic's of wiring last weekend. I actually think most of it stuck! This Southern Boy learnt somethin! Let me know and I will have it ready to go in June! Any chance Skydoc_17 will be selling these at MD? Ben

Neighbors maybe? I've had a neighbor take a package off my door step. I WAS NOT a happy person with that situation. I'll stop with that! Ben

Congrats! I have a good friend of mine who is very active in a NC Chapter. They have a large rally planned at the Dragon in April. I think it's something I may have to look into! Ben

Just wanted to give a shout out to Riderduke who synced my carbs and mounted my Stebel Horn today. My bike is an 04 and this is the first sync it's had. (I've owned it since September, trying to catch up on 5 years worth of stuff) He did a jam up job! We only had to call 4 other VR members for guidance! Just messin bro, you're awesome! I also met Mrs. Duke and Miss Courtney, he's surrounded by great women! You too Mini, even though you weren't there! Thanks again, the bike sure did have more kick on the way home! Rode great, can't wait to get the Avon's and stock height back on it! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: much appreciation, Ben

Am I correct that this fits to the size of the Yamaha trunck rack? If so, yep, I want one! Let me know about payment Don, paypal works for me! Ben

Better than our Yamaha dealer....they don't even do hot dogs.....not to mention a 70 cent rubber gasket that I needed. "We don't carry those, you'll have to order that online." To which I asked, "If you were servicing my bike, how would you replace it? The owners manuel says to change the gasket everytime you change the coolant. The answer, "We wouldn't change it unless we had one in stock." No Thanks, never a penny spent in there again! Ben

Gamecock replied to skydoc_17's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Thank you for addressing this problem on the RSV and RSTD! I look forward to hearing more about your engineering and trying out what you come up with! When mine fails, you can have it for experimentation! Thanks again! Ben -
My first ride on a 2007 Midnight Venture
Gamecock replied to CaptainJoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I read and re-read, that "0" makes a world of difference. I was about to ask you to buy me a lotto ticket cause you are one lucky dude. I also went from a V-Star 1100 to the RSV. Absolutley no comparison. I'll be riding my RSV for years to come! Welcome to the site....pictures picture pictures!!! If you're ever gonna ride over to the Shenandoah Valley, just let me know and I'll meet up with you. I'm about 80 miles from Luray, but don't mind traveling further. Ben -
Sounds like an awesome trip! If you go to Savannah, GA check out Paula Deen's restaurant (The Lady and Son's). And if you get to Charleston, SC: See Wee Restaurant in Awendaw is out of this world. Myrtle Beach?......Drunkin Jack's in Murrell's Inlet. Have a blast! Ride safe! Ben
