Wayne, If possible and somewhat local, I'd love to check out a competition with you. I thought about applying to the Coast Guard K-9 Program, but knew that I wasn't ready to make a career decision with the CG. The dogs used for these program are outstanding. Along with the service animals, they're both fine examples of "Man's Best Friend". Ben

Wayne, Thanks for posting. The hair on my arms stood up throughout the entire video. Thanks for your service with these incredible officers. Ben

I went on vacation to St. Maarten in August. Anyhow, I fell on the beach and busted my head open on the rocks at the beach, 5 inches and 1/4 inch deep. My wife, in nursing school, paniced and rushed me to the hospital. I filled a beach towel full of blood in the 15 minute ride. Walked in the door, offered my insurance card (they declined), gave them my name and where I was staying. The doctor came and got me, examined me, put 5 stitches in my head, and sent me to the counter. The "nurse" said $100 for the visit and stitches. All that in under 20 minutes. Now, why is it we have the greatest healthcare in the world, and some almost 3rd world country has a hospital that runs like that? And to note, my wife works for a high profile general surgen in DC so I had him check the stitches. He said "Damn fine job he did on that". I was very impressed when he said that, and my scar is very small! By the way, concussions aren't fun, and I just had a minor one! Ben

I have the Zumo 450, I think they have been discontinued. I paid $375 for mine, it just doesn't have bluetooth. Great little machine if you can find one! Ben

Anyone have a link for the 30 or 40 amp relay that was mentioned above. I think I found someone (a buddy) who will do it, I just need to gather all the needed parts. Thanks Ben

My dad is coming to town today and he said he would look at it and try. He's a little more mechanical than me. If not, I'll support the Yamaha dealer. They seem like a good group of guys. Ben

My wife isn't a member, but she's 26 and rides with me about 75% of the time. She did her first long trip, 821 miles, in October. She enjoyed it so much, I am now the proud owner of a HF trailer so she can bring her "treasures" home with her when she shops and we're on the road. All you guys that are sick of me posting about hitches and wiring for the trailer can thank her. It's her trailer, I just in charge of getting it ready for the Spring. Ben

How hard/easy is it to do? I could do the nuts and bolts, it's the electrical I'm worried about. Ben

I got 'em too, but I'm too chicken to try and put them on. Guess I will stimulate the Yamaha shop and have them do it. Ben

No worries this way, I don't mind waiting on quality, and the fact he is doing work for our troops, he can take all the time he needs! God Bless Them All!! Ben

Wayne, This weather is killing me! What brand did you get? Do you have a link or website you got them from? I would like to have them also, I didn't think $39.95 was a bad price. I got birthday cash to burn, and I would rather get something like that than just spend it on nothing. They look pretty well made. Ben

Does anyone have any experience with these Saddlebag Liners? They looks pretty nice and the price is great. I wanted to get some opinions before I spent my birthday money on them. They offer free embroidery also, but you can't return them after having them personalized. Thanks for the input in advance! http://www.tlcproducts.com/servlet/Detail?no=24 http://www.tlcproducts.com/catalog/ed_1_sbl_24_1.JPG http://www.tlcproducts.com/catalog/rst.jpg Ben

I have a 3 year old Boston Terrier, she has to have a DOUBLE knee replacement. The knee's pop out of joint, no pain as of yet, but in the future, it's gonna be a BIG problem. Looking at $2000.00 for the surgery. Sounds fun huh? Ben http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs256.snc1/10328_1222610879271_1048940196_30700747_4191235_n.jpg

I just put Stabil in mine for the winter. I'll grab a can and put 1/2 in during the spring when I get the carb's synced. Thanks Ben
-
Probably a stupid question but.....Do you follow the "how to" video and put 1/3 of can in carbs, 1/3 in oil, and 1/3 in the gas tank? Ben

My 04 is cold natured. My 00 V-Star was also. I have to choke it for about 2 or 3 minutes before heading off. I generally let it warm up 5 minutes before taking off when it's cold outside (below 50). Now you got me thinking......do I have a problem also?!? Ben
