Thanks. Wonder if I need to put a switch on that when I put the trailer wiring harness on or the passing lamps. Dang, things are starting to pile up! Okay, read his post. Sounds like something I don't really need to worry about right now as I don't plan on riding in the bitter cold. Anything lower than 40, and there isn't a good chance of me riding; Beach Boy Syndrome! I think I can wait awhile to tackle that, though it does seem pretty easy. Ben

I was wondering, are the carb heaters standard on the RSV? "Four heated 32mm Mikuni carburetors with TPS deliver seamless throttle response and greater power across the entire rev range" http://www.brenhamyamaha.com/yamaha_star_motorcycles.html Ben

That's awesome! My wife is in nursing school. Way better to get the RN vs. the LPN. Pay is probably double and she will NEVER have to look for a job. When she graduates, hospital's will more than likely be lined up waiting to give her a job. As far as the blood, well I can't help in that area. I pass out when I cut my finger. Me and the red stuff don't mix well. My wife say's you get use to it, kinda like a butcher does with dieing animals. (Bad comparison, I know) Congrats to her! I am in school and work full time, it's not easy but I do what I have to. Send her my best wishes! Ben

I was able to update my 450 with maps for 2009 when I bought it in Dec 2008. I have not tried the 2010 ones yet. Ben

We crate trained both of ours when they were puppies. They spent the first 8 months in the crate when we were not at home and asleep. After that, we would let them stay out for short trips to the store and such. Now, they never go in the crate, but could if they had to. They don't like their freedom being taken away, but they don't flip out either. My sister has a 9 month old yellow lab, 87 lbs on Monday at the vet. He's a BIG BOY! Ben

I've got one and love it. I paid $450 for mine on Amazon. Sure is nice to know a rain storm won't kill the GPS. That alone is worth the money. Ben

I talked to Leonard's and they said all they need is 24 hours notice. I am waiting for a day in the 40's before I pull the bike out. This low 30's crap is killing me. I will let you know. Ben

I had a Polaris 325 4x4 when I lived in South Carolina. My dad had a Yamaha 650 and mine would out pull and push his any day of the week. Plus it was small enough to pick up if you had too. The Polaris is pretty much a snow-mobile with tires, and Polaris makes the best snow-mobiles on earth. I got mine brand new for about $4K. I bet you'd be able to find a 08 or 09 that never sold with a great price on it. Get a manual tranny, pull harder and cheaper. Never pushed snow, but I buried mine in mud and clay numerous times and NEVER had a problem. The thing would run under water. My dad's Yamaha on the other hand, stays in the shop. Ben

If Best Buy doesn't have it, they could order it. Also, Wal-Mart has the ability to order lots of stuff. Just because they don't stock it doesn't mean they can't get it. Ben

Take lots of pictures! I can remember my Coast Guard boot camp graduation like it was yesterday. Other than my wedding, I don't think there is a more special day in my life. (No children as of yet). It was the only time I was in uniform with BOTH my grandfather's before one of them passed away. That one picture means the world to me. I felt like I could take on the world that day. It was awesome! Congrats to the new Marine! Ben

If you could have one new accessory added what would it be?
Gamecock replied to Yama Mama's topic in Watering Hole
You have no idea how many times I have looked at the heated gear on Motorcycle Superstore. They had a package deal top and bottom for $325 back in December. Ben -

I got passing lamps, trunk rack, front fender rail, new tires, and a trailer all sitting in the basement. Oh yeah, saddle bag rails on the way. It's not WHAT I want, it's when will I have the time to put it on. Ben -
Thanks Ben

Looks like I missed a great time. Dang work.....I'm gonna have to do something about that. Duke was brave for riding! There is no way this beach boy would have ridden from Northern VA with it in the Mid-20's all day. The wind is currently blowing about 25 MPH. Does anyone know if he got home alright? Ben
