  1. Try contacting channel 7 in Boston. They have a "Solve It 7" group that goes after businesses like this. Good luck.

  7. Brian, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. I would buy one too.
  9. I had Rick Butler lower my seat also and it helped me finally be able to flat-foot at stops. The bike had Progressives installed when I bought it. Thanks Rick!
  10. I found a replacement piece at Pep Boys. Just cut it to length (don't remember the exact length) and lightly sand the base to make it fit better into the black center load. If using the CB, you'll need to get and SWR meter to make the final adjustments.
  11. Search eBay for "Doggles". Tessie is sporting the ILS model.
  12. I'll take one 3.5" and one 7". Let me know about the PayPal payment and thanks very much. Al
  13. I went on the Paul Jr. website and didn't see a single picture of a bike they had made. Are they bike fabricators or t-shirt sellers? Al
  14. Please put me down for a set. Thanks!!
  15. This just came up on the VROC.com forum (Kawasaki Vulcan Riders). Here's what I recommended along with a few other locals: 1. Route 302 through Crawford Notch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_302_in_New_Hampshire 2. Hurricane Mountain Road http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/nh_hmr.html 3. Kancamagus Highway/Route 112 http://gonewengland.about.com/od/nhsightseeing/a/aakancamagus.htm 4. White Mountains Scenic Byway http://www.visitwhitemountains.com/things-to-do/scenic-byway.aspx On the weekends, stay off Rte. 16 through Conway & North Conway, unless you want to play bumper cars with the outlet mall crowd. ----------------------- I took a ride with a good friend a couple of days ago that was pretty nice. From Concord, NH. to Keene, NH. to Bennington VT. to Williamstown, Ma to Greenfield, MA. To Keene, NH. to Concord, NH. Back to your destination. This is a southern route but all nice roads with wonderful vistas along the route. Should be real nice in the fall. here's a few links http://www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/NorthEast/NH/NH_index.htm http://www.openroadjourney.com/roads/NewHampshire.asp http://www.sundaymorningrides.com/road/states/NH.shtml ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You're from Georgia so if you've ridden the dragon or even your own mountain roads then Hurricane Mountain Road should be no big deal...except it IS narrow and steep. Kind of like Chimney Rock in NC but not as long or as tight. Should be a little taste of home. When you get to the Maine end of Hurricane Mountain road turn left and ride to Route 113. Take this road north to Route 2. The upper half of this stretch is well worth the ride! From there turn west on Route 2 and join up with the Scenic Byway loop that a previous post pointed you to. You can either ride 16 south past Mt Washington or stay on Route 2 and take 302 back through Crawford Notch...either one has worthwhile sights to see. If you go through Crawford Notch be sure to stop at the Willey House and find out what it REALLY means to have "a case of the willeys". ------------------------------------------------------------------ And here's what the visitor from GA had to say about his rides: "I would like to thank all those who gave suggestions for rides in this beautiful State. My son and I had some great rides and great weather while we were here in NH. We are headed south in the morning for a stay in my old home town of Rye. We'll ride the remainder of the 1A coast ride tomorrow while visiting friends. We rode the north and middle loops around the White Mtns, rode the Mt Washington Auto road, Kancamangus twice and the Hurricane Mtn road 3 times. The Mt Washington Auto road was about the scarriest ride I have EVER done. Not so bad on the way back down, but that first time up made me wonder if I was going to make it. We also rode ME 113 up to US 2 after our first run on Hurrincane Mtn road. That is a real nice ride too. Hope to get back up this way again sometime." ------------------------------------------------------------------- ENJOY!!!! Al
  16. Here's where I bought my vent for a 1st Gen.: http://www.saber-cycle.com/store/product197.html They say it's for a Goldwing 1500, but I will make it fit. I haven't installed it yet. It was $29.00, plus just under $4.00 shipping. The directions for installation are attached. I may need to adjust the location based on the 1st Gen. windshield. Good luck.
  17. I'll take a set and thanks in advance. Let me know about the PayPal.
  18. I was fortunate to buy my first Venture Royale this Fall from an 82 year old gentleman in Nashua, NH that my wife met at her gym. He is not a member here, but he had ridden the bike up until this past September, even driving to the Laconia Bike Week back in June. He decided he will buy something smaller next Spring and keep riding........amazing.
  19. Having worked in a professional position at a hospital; I've seen my share of doctors screw up. 1. I'd contact a lawyer ASAP. 2. In addition, call the hospital administrator or president. Tell their secretary that you want to make an appointment to discuss the behavior of a doctor on their staff. If they won't see you, sue them also. If they will see you, write down everything you want to say in advance and hand them a copy after your meeting with them. Ask them what they are going to do about this doctor and how soon they'll get back to you with the final outcome. The doctor should not be present at this meeting. 3. At the meeting, tell them you need a copy of your medical records. Don't leave until you get them. Go to the medical records dept. yourself if you get any resistance. They may charge a copying fee, but it will be worth it. That way nothing can be changed before you get your copy. 4. Get the names of all hospital personnel who came if contact with you on the day of surgery. You or your lawyer will want to get swore statements from them about the doctor's behavior. 5. Contact your state licensing board and/or attorney general's office and ask how to file a complaint. Most of all, good luck and don't let them get away with this.
