  1. Sounds like some long days ahead. We'll keep Y'All in our prayers.
  2. I've been using Zooke paste for a couple of years. It works fairly well but needs to be applied every few days. I would love to hear of any first hand knowledge of this product.
  3. Hmm. I have Dyna Beads in my VTX and it is definatly smoother than when it had the weights on it. When the RSV is due tires, I'll put Dyna Beads in it also. I know lots of people with the same findings as me.
  4. Me: 98 Dodge Ram 1500 It's got about 90K on it. Been a good truck and I expect to drive it for a good while longer. Her: 04 Honda CRV Got about 70K. It's a good vehicle. Not very flashy but dependable. I wish the seats were a little larger but think the seats in all Japanese cars a on the small side.
  5. My favorite breakfast is at the Dillard House in Dillard Ga. About as close to home cooking youll find in a resturant. When you get done eating your set up for some great mtn. riding. http://www.dillardhouse.com/restaurant-menu-4.php
  6. My original plans were to head up your way tomorrow. However, the wife has come down with the flu. If I get out at all, I'll need to stay close to home. We'll meet up with you soon tho. We're up in your neck of the woods alot.
  7. I'm looking foward to Friday. Sunny and upper 50s :dancefool:
  8. I wear a XXL helmet and it fits fine with room to spare. Many shops carry them so you can try them on.
  9. I wear a dickie, yea yea I know, by Schampa. Comfortable down into th teens. http://www.schampa.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=10
  10. The fact that days of remembrance have never been included is bad enough. Too many people have forgot already and need to be reminded. But to then put a muslim holiday where one SHOULD have been just pushed my button. It's just more of the erosion of America. No, I don't have a problem with the muslim religion, or any religion, but we are at war with radical muslims and I have no personal knowledge of any muslims denouncing the radicals actions. This I have a problem with. I could go on but I can get pretty passionate about this stuff. Probably best that I just let it go. It's gona be in the 50s Thursday and Friday and I'm nearly done with the house. I feel a ride coming on.
  11. Well, YOU started it!
  12. It's very brief. Supposed to be in the 50's next week. Whats your forcast say.
  13. Publix has decided to put Dec. 7 as the islamic new year instead of Pearl Harbor Day. As an American, U.S. Army vet and the son of a WWII vet, this upsets me greatly. I will NEVER spend another penny in publix again. Hope you take your money elswhere too. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/publix.asp
  14. 2 inches of snow in Atlanta is a disaster. In fact, just the mention of snow causes havok. They have predicted UP TO 2 inches for this afternoon/tonight and schools have already let out early. I'm looking out my office window at very very small snow flakes falling. By the time I get off at five, traffic will be grid locked. There wont be a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk on the store shelfs. It's nut's.
  15. Where is Al Gore when ya need him?
  16. I think it was George Burnes that said "getting old isn't for sissys" Hope everything checks out OK.
  17. Is it a personal preference in regards to having a swivel hitch? I think that is what it is called. Being able to lean the bike somewhat while the trailer stays level. Any dangers in not having it? Any dangers in having it? I have been pulling a trailer with my VTX for a couple of years without a swivel. Drug floorboards many times with no ill effects. I've only pulled it behind the RSV once so far. Time will tell if the greater lean angle of the RSV will pose a problem. If on a long trip and want to unhitch it so you can ride w/out the trailer, what do you do for security to make sure the trailer is still there when you get back? I do understand too that if someone wants to take it, they will find a way. I carry a 10' chain and pad lock and chain it to what ever is available. But it's true, If they want it, they will get it. Please share which trailer you bought and why. Pics welcome too. I pull an MCT by Aluma. I looked at ALOT of trailers and feel the Aluma had the most to offer for a moderate price. About $1700. I'm very pleased with it http://www.alumaklm.com/mct_towable_motorcycle_trailer.html Like I mentioned before I like the black one from HF partly because it is black and don't have to repaint. It also already comes w/ the diamond plating. black HF trailer The Aluma is available in black with polished diamond plate I see that it does not mention anything about what type of suspension it has (if any). Some (not all) mention leaf spring. Overall thoughts on that one vs. the others? The Aluma has a torsion suspension.

  22. I had to go check the garage to see if mine was still there. Did you trade? If so, what did they give you for the VTX?
  23. My last ride of the year will most likely be on December 31st. The first ride of the year will be on New Years day. I just love living in the south.
  24. I have had two of of the cheaper lifts fail within two years of purchase. Wish I had bought the Craftsman first. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950191000P?vName=Tools&cName=Auto+%26+Mechanics+Tools&sName=Lift+Equipment+%26+Jacks
  25. OWWWWW! Hope you heal quick.
