Take 441s to US74w to Hwy 28n. or is it 28w. Either way, take a right on 28 28 is known as Hellbender and is a better ride than the dragon also IMO. Your gona love it. It dead ends right at the Tail of the Dragon resort. I use Bing maps to plot trips. http://www.bing.com/maps/ -

Skyline drive ends near waynesboro Va. and the BRP continues. You wont get off one to get on the other, They are a continuation of each other. The BRP ends in Cherokee NC. Deals Gap (The Tail of the Dragon) is around an hour from Cherokee. The dragon is US 129 at the NC/Tn line. Another road that many, myself included, feel is a much better ride than the dragon is the Cherohalla skyway that runs from Robbinsvill NC to Tellico Plains Tn. Give yourself a mimimum of three days to ride skyline dr, BRP, dragon and skyway. With that youll leave wishing you had stayed longer. -

I have one. The farther you push the pedal the faster it drops. It works fine untill the fluid leaks out of it. I cant find a replacement jack or seals to repair it so it is stored in the shed out back and I bought a Craftsman pro jack. I cant find the owners manual either.

If it were me, I would move the the eastern route a little to the west to hit the mtns of W.Va, western Va, western NC, east Tn and N, Ga. Thats some of the best riding this side of the nation. The super slab is great for making time, but if you want to see the country it's 2 lane black top's. That would cut down on the number of states you could hit in a given time frame tho. Thats my . Keep us up dated on when your gona be in the area. If at all possible, we'll meet up with you. -
I'll drop you a line Friday or Saturday. No rush tho. For the price your asking, I can wait a looong time.

Thank you Tom. :dancefool: Rest assured, I WILL pay it foward.

jac offerd a pair of Diamond R passenger hwy pegs up for sale at a great price. He claimed they were in great shape and since I had been considering getting a set for the boss, I jumped on them. Sent the paypal Sunday afternoon but for some reason (probably my fault) it didnt take the shipping fee. I got that sent out Monday AM. Got home from work Tuesday afternoon and there they were. Wow! That was fast. Not only fast, I dont see a scratch or blemish anywhere. Not what I expected for a used part. Thanks Jac!

Me and the wife both quit at the same time. We both smoked 3 packs a day for many years. The first 2 months were tough but then gradually got easyer. It's been 9 years now and I havent had the urge to light up in a long long time. We both find the odor of cigarets repulsive now. One of the things that helped get me over the ruff spots was to hum. It sounds silly I know but it helps relive stress. Try it. Hang in there. It does get easyer and soon, you won't miss it at all.

Great Game...............................
Motorcycle Mike replied to Aussie Annie's topic in Watering Hole
I thought it was a good game as far as super bowls go. They are usualy lop sided boreathons. My problem is, if your going to make it last 4 hours with commercials and a half time show no one wants to see, start the f-ing thing at 4pm. 11:00 is way too late to be up on a Sunday when ya gota get up at 3:00 on Monday, or for kids to be up on a school night. -
Thanks! I have rode that route, didnt know it had a name. We really like the Switzerland Inn. The have a great NY strip steak there.
-
Rode it many times. Hell Bender, hwy 28 is alot more fun IMHO. What, Where is the rooster tail?

Here's another vote for clocks for bikes. Their a mom and pop company that realy stand behind their product.

I like the progressive lenses. The fact that you can kinda fine tune your vision by simply rocking you head up or down is a plus to me. They do take a little getting used to tho. I had Sams Club copy my prescripton once. Never could get those right. The ones I get at my regular optomitrist are never a problem. Maybe the problem is where your getting them. Iduno

Theres a whole lot of folks with totaly differant results than what MCN came up with. I'm one of them. I was sceptical too. But after hearing so many positive stories I gave them a try. My VTX is noticably smoother with Dyna Beads than with out. Gyro stabilaty? Is that supposed to mean the bike is harder to lean into a curve? BS, I havent noticed any differance in this area. I dont understand why you would put down a product that in your own words "I didn't have any real information or first hand experience with the product." It seems you still don't have any first hand experience, only what you have read in a magazine, unless theres something your not telling. So why bash the product? When the RSV is ready for new tires. Dyna Beads are going in.

But it's chrome! Isn't there a law about taking chrome OFF a bike?
