    I'm getting ready to make some leveling links and got to thinking about the reports of the shock going bad. Has anyone had the links on when it failed? Did Yamaha have any issues covering the shock under warranty? Maybe I should put the stock links back on before sending it to the shop if/when the shock fails?

    Nationwide decided to raise my rates. I have already called: Progressive - About the same rate Geico - A little higher rate Dairyland - A little higher again State Farm- is nukin futs:shock3: On my call list is: McGraw esurance Markel and Formost. Anybody else I can call? Thanks!

    I use 4 straps, 2 each side, 1 to the front of the rack, one to the back through the handels of my Colman cooler. http://venturerider.org/forum/picture.php?albumid=517&pictureid=4475 It hasn't moved in years of use and easy access to the drinks and snacks. I dont have the rail around like yours does so a single strap on each side should be enough.

    No, not me. Shirley semi retired from Lucent 8 years ago and has been working retail part time since. Her social security checks started in May and she quit that job today. We finally got our weekends back.:dancefool: This means your gona have to put up with me more on the meet & eats. Youve been warned.

    I carry 10' of chain and a pad lock. Chain it to a tree or pole if not leaving it hitched..

    We usualy stay at the Phillips motel http://www.phillipsmotelonline.com/ Or the Tuskeegee motel http://www.tuskeegeemotel.com/ Both are mom & pop motels run by very down to earth, friendly couples. Nothing fancy but clean.

    I don't know how your getting that kind of mileage. Front tire was nearly bald and the rear was so badly cupped it sounded like a truck with mud tires on it. I was running 40F/40R. I have a VTX that I do my solo riding on, the RSV is always 2 up. The VTX also got crappy mileage out of the stock Dunlop 404s.

    I only got 6800 miles out of the Dunlop 404's that came on the bike. I put Dunlop E-3's on. I sure hope they get alot better mileage. 40 psi front. 42 psi rear. Sound about right?

    Thanks guys! I just pulled the trigger on the Utopia. It's supposed to ship on 5/31 so it should arrive in plenty of time for vacation starting on 6/17.

    I need to get a backrest. After doing a search, it appears to be a draw between the Diamond R and the Utopia with everyone being happy with their choice. I'm leaning toward the Utopia because it's $41 cheaper. Is there a reason other than them being a sponser of this board, that I should fork over more for the Diamond R backrest? Thanks for any advice.

    Tailwinds and Bushtech were high on my list when I was looking for a trailer. Very nice, quality trailers indeed but, I just couldnt justify the cost. I found an Aluma trailer for 1/3 the cost. It pulls like a dream, has plenty of room and looks pretty good to. I have never needed it, but hear their coustomer service is top notch also. http://www.alumaklm.com/mct_towable_motorcycle_trailer.html Now, if I had plenty of disposible cash, I would probably be pulling a Tailwinds or Bushtech as they are known to be some of the best.     I want to rmove the CD player from the saddle bag temporarly. Can I not unplug the cord from the player itself? It feels like I'm going to break something if I pull any harder.
