  1. Here is a cross reference that list oil filters that will fit most motorcycles. I've had it a while. You may notice the latest dates are 2003 but the filter on the newer Ventures is the same. I use the Mobil M-110 because its a good filter, the auto parts store always has it in stock and it fits both my bikes. http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterXRef.html
  2. I got tired of after market/straight pipes by the time I was 20. I got a bug and put some after market pipes on my VTX about 8 years ago. Left them on about two weeks. I guess I've been old along time.
  3. Blue. The red is just a little hard on my eyes.
  4. Prayers and condolence Scott. I know too well the pain you feel. You mention he was close to the Lord so I know for certain he is in a far better place. Take care of mom.
  5. Thanks Don! Looking good. You Da Man!
  6. Sigh...........at least I get to ride to work and back.
  7. I appreciate the heads up about you doing this. I've been on other forums when they just did it without warning and leave you wandering WTF untill it comes back up. Thank You!
  8. We'll be heading to Maggey Vally Sunday. Ventures Randy and Linda are supposed to drop in Monday. If you get a chance come on by. The weather forcast keeps changing but it looks like 'most' of the days will be fine. I'm certain we'll get wet somewhere along the way. I seem to have a knack for finding showers.
  9. It'll be great to see you and Linda again. I sure hope the weather cooperates.
  10. Sounds like your describing the Moonshine grill Eck. We're staying just douwn the road at Creekside.
  11. Cold and wet gear is standard equipment this time of year. Wheels through time is nice but been there, done that. Woody, once you have seen one wedding, youve seen them all. Tell him youll come to his next one.
  12. Were gona be in Maggie Valley arriving 10/12 departing on 10/16. Hopeing for some good weather. If your in the neighborhood, give us a shout.

  17. There even more fun when you actually RIDE one. Still getting used to ours but it's a blast.
  18. We honeymooned in Hawaii back in 86. Been wanting to go back ever since. One of the highlights was when we took a day trip over to Kauai. The package included a round trip flight, a rental car and a helicopter tour of the island. The heli pilot was an ex Army Huey pilot who flew in Nam. WOW! That was worth every penny we spent. So if you have the time and money look into that.
  19. I looked it up, Derek is Butches nephew not son. Yea, I knew of J.J.'s influence on Clapton and Knopfler but had not heard of his passing.
  20. Isn't Derek Trucks Butch Trucks son? I hear a strong Allman Bros. influance there. Thanks for the link.
  21. Another vote for DiamondR hwy pegs. They greatly extended Shirleys range between breaks.
  22. My first 'big' bike was a Honda 305 scrambler. It started a long love affair with scramblers, dual sport and dirt bikes. I now steer clear of any bike that is capable of fire/off roading. I'm not smart enough to resist the wild urges of raising he!! in the dirt. But the Duc looks sweet. Oh the memories.
  23. I don't remember the one your talking about, but I remember this. http://www.vintagevrroom.com/ I never had one though.
