  1. For the non campers, no not you rooster, where do you plan to stay? Black Mtn Super 8 crapped on us and called Shirley a liar. We won't go back there. The Quality inn gave us the attitude last time we were there. Don't really want to give them any more business. Thinking maybe Hotel 6.
  2. I resemble that and agree with Pegasus, buy a replacement and the lost item's will show up. I've done it many times.
  3. Well, I fall into that group from time to time. Thanks for the help.
  4. I bet he was sampling some home made wine.
  5. "An even easier way is to simply click on "User Gallery" under your Username from any post you have made." That's the only way I can find mine. I also don't see a way to upload any new pics.
  6. We're looking forward to it.
  7. Me and the wife tip the scales at a little over 430 lb's together. We've loaded up both bags, the trunk and pulling a full trailer with cooler. Traveled many thousands of miles with no issues what so ever and I never felt unsafe. Rear shock pumped up just under max pressure. Dunlop E3's @ 40 front and rear. .
  8. I have the stock rear wheel and shock that came off for the conversion. Come get them.
  9. My sister hit a deer so decided to install some deer wistles. She's only hit two deer since.
  10. I have not rode a spyder but I have checked them out. After throwing my leg over and sitting for a few minuts I ruled it out. It was very uncomfortable to me. I think they have one now with a more up right sitting position. I already had my RSV set up where Shirley and I are both very comfortable so opted for the Hannigan conversion and couldnt be happier. Plenty of storage and the handling is superb. Cost for a full kit runs about $17000. http://www.hannigantrikes.com/products/yamaha-royal-star-venture-tour-deluxe-conversion/
  11. Don't knock it till you've tried it. I still have a nice VTX I've hardly looked at since converting the RSV. This thing is a lot of fun to ride. I miss laying the bike over in the turns as does Shirley but, did I say, this thing is a whole lot of fun. And nobody does a trike better than Hannigan.
  12. My battery took a dump on me Labor day. Luckily another rider at the motel had a mini battery jumper and got me going Tuesday AM so I could get to the shop and buy a battery. I bought 2 immediately. One for the bike and one for the car. http://www.amazon.com/Hot-sale-15000mAH-2013-Jump/dp/B00GX4Y9AY/ref=sr_1_7?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1445458765&sr=1-7&keywords=mini+battery+jump+starter
  13. Some of us actually ride our bikes, take them on vacation and such. I usually cover mine when parked outdoors over night. It never occurred to me that I could wash the cover.
  14. GO BRAVES! Wait.........what? Never mind.
  15. This is why I wait untill I've traveled about 30 miles after the low fuel light comes on. That insures I have room to hold the entire contents of the aux tank. If I forget to turn the pump off, the engine starts to sputter when air is injected into the fuel line.
  16. A new helmet maybe? Sorry the only thing I can think of is a seat mod. But then she may have a problem reaching the boards.http://www.wired.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/IMG_5062.jpg
  17. I wait untill I'm around 30 or so miles after the low fuel light comes on to make sure I have room, then just transfer the aux tank on the go. Welcome to world of three wheels. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
  18. It takes a little time to get comfortable on one when you've been riding on two for a while. Give it at least 1000 miles before you give up on it. I haven't rode my VTX since I converted the RSV. Love this thing.
  19. I went back and re-read it. I guess I'm used to people asking me about stability. Thanks for setting me straight.
  20. A common misconception. You'd have to try very hard to flip most trikes. I guess we ride for differant reasons. I'm keeping my knees in the breeze as long as I can.
  21. I didn't think I would care for a trike either but I was wrong. The RSV/Hannigan makes a great trike. It handles really, really good and is alot of fun. We do miss leaning in the curves tho. When faced with not being able to bring my bride along with me or just not ride, the decision got real easy.
  22. Take a look at this. http://www.cycletrader.com/dealers/Pony-Powersports-Group-2926242/listing/2007-Yamaha-XVZ13-ROYAL-STAR-VENTURE-TRIKE-115895130
  23. There was a time I chose bikes like that over anything else. I miss those days.
  24. Service manuals here. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?1828-Download-the-Owners-and-Service-Manuals
  25. Yea, Shirley and I have both wondered what they were for. I figured it had something do do with aircraft tracking speed. Now I know. Thanks!
