I did the brake fluid change again last year as it was getting dark already. Not sure if it is because I tow a trailer a lot.

Yes I got the same kit from Buckeye. I have one of those vaccum pumps that makes it a breeze to get the air out of the lines. One of the hardest parts was finding the bleed for the clutch. I came on here and got the answer I needed. The guy that helped me went to MMI but is pounding nails now. He knew pretty much what he was doing but that little bleed nipple was hard to find.

Never heard of a Magnetic plug. Wouldn't an oil filter take care of that anyway? -

Is Nothing Ever Easy?
hunter 1500 replied to Bear1300's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I wired mine so they were always on and then it was a lot of drain on battery so I have it so they just come on with the low beams. -
I changed mine in 2010 and I like it much better now. No more upper back pain. Not sure how long it took but I would guess around 6 hrs total.

+1 I agree.

Flanders Handlebars with cables ?
hunter 1500 replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Got mine from Buckeye and he is very nice to deal with and willing to help if you have a probelm. I got the whole deal with the new cable and lines. There are cheaper places to get them but he is great to do business with. -
Thanks. I also want to add that I love the cradle you make. It works great.

I will be due this spring for the 26k one. Does that have to be done by the dealer?

What is the shim kit used for?

I would buy the one with the DVD. Oh wait they both have cassette players. All kiding aside I would probably go with the newer one.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I guess it could have been a coat pocket but you would think it would be easy enough to get out of the coat.

Michelin comander ii
hunter 1500 replied to eusa1's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I'll be watching to see how they handle in wet weather and how many miles people are getting. I had a set of the original Comanders on mine and liked them but they stopped making them so I went to the E3 and really like them but they are quite a bit more in price. The Comander II is supposed to last a lot longer according to the info I read on them. -
Is that an America's Best Trailer. That's where I got mine off Ebay but mine is all diamond plate. So far I like it but the latch at the back is messed up.

Not me. We had to make snow so that we could film a comercial for a snow removal product.

I've been going to Americade for years but just day trips as I live only 70 miles away but the last couple of years I have camped at the campground and stayed there. I pay for a $20 day pass and road 3 bikes each day for two days. If you ride a little ways the local diners are cheaper and there is some great riding to the north in the Adirondacks and checking out Lake Placid is a must. If you park where there is a bike in the space with a parking pass you don't need one but beware if you park there and there isn't they will ticket you if you don't feed the meter. If you don't want to hang out a drink I would suggest stay a few miles away and riding in each day and it will be much cheaper. Motels and lodging there is expensive. There are a lot of little towns with diners outside of Lake George and they love the business. I will be there again this year at the Hearthstone State campground and doing the demo rides. We usually just hang out at night and watch the bikes and walk around and check out the sights.

We had 50 here in VT yesterday but there is a ton of salt on the road from a couple of 1/2 snow storms we got last week.
