Mounted the new Comander II 130 front tire last weekend but the weather was bad, cold and rainy so I have not had a good test ride but I rode about 10 miles and it was like a different bike. Felt very different at first but feels fine now. Because it is new and has not been broken in I'm taking it easy but as soon as I get some miles I will post back here to give my thoughts on it.

Good to see you post. Get well soon.

Thanks for all the info. I had no idea how to go about it.

Is it just a matter of draining it and refilling it? And what should I use?
-
I was wondering how often this should be done and is there a how to on here. I serched but couldn't find one. My bike has three years and 32k on it. Thanks

Looks like a good buy.

Sorry to hear about this unfortunate accident. Larry hope you have a speedy and full recovery. This must have been very traumatic for the kid and his mom.

The frame looks a lot like the RSTD frame. I like it and think it will be a good seller. They already have the Venture and the Strato deluxe and I think this fills a nitch that needed filling. -
I like the Motorcycle Superstore for tires. They have great prices and say they wont be beat and If I order them on a Monday I have them by Thursday with free shipping.

Followed a guy towing a Unigo through the twisties and you would never know it was on his bike the way he was riding.

I wish you guys had made one when I swapped mine over from the Suzuki. I sent you guys pictures and told you that you should make the brackets and noticed you make them now. I've been totally satisfied with my fairing and I bought it in 2007.

If I remember right he didn't go on a computer much or at all. I did tell him about this place as I do everyone that I meet on a Royal Star.

I love my RSTD and I think Yamaha would have a winner in they put the Vmax motor tuned down a little for better gas mileage in the RSTD. The bike has a great engine in it already but with the FI and more power I would think it would sell. What you all think?

I also have that fairing and the price is really good. Mine was on my Suzuki LC1500 and when I traded I kept the fairing and put the windshield back on. At the time they didn't make brackets for the WOC so I bulit my own. I sent them an email and told them they could make the fairing work really easily and low and behold they started making the brackets. I've had it since 07 and it has held up really well. No issues whatsoever. And like I said in the other thread the Jensen Marine radio kicks but. With the Sirius tunner, paint and radio I had a total of about $1000 in it.

I have a feeling that I may not like it, especialy when I'm towing the trailer.

That guy is at Americade every year. This year I sat on a park bench and talked with him quite a while. He has had a lot of custom work done to it. We kept getting little showers and he would have to put covers over the intakes for the carbs. He said he had almost as much in the bike as he did his house. Real nice guy. I posted a picture here before. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/hunter1500/Americade%20and%20clickfest%202010/AmericadeandClickfest008.jpg

What color was the bike before. It looks real nice. I'm lucky I have a guy right next door to where I work and he is very good. Does lots of old classic sport cars for a guy that buys and sells them. His brother in the same building is a mechanic and a good one on cars so he always gives us a good deal because we bring a lot of work his way. 180 employees.

Comander II's don't make a 150 and I have read on here about quite a few running the 130 on the front so I'm going to give it a try. I have one in my shed waiting for me to put it on. I will let everyone know what I think of it.

Before you buy check this system out. Four speakers that I can hear going down the road at 80 mph no problem. This it the radio and speakers. http://www.jensenmarinedirect.com/am-fm-cd-usb-ipod-siriusxm-satellite-ready-stereo-with-marine-housing.html I forgot to add that they have great customer support and fast shipping.

When I bought mine from Buckeye he talked me into geting the SS lines and cable and I wasn't sorry that I did. They work great. -
The Jensen has a CD player but it skips to much on the road. It is Sirius ready and has a jack for a Ipod I mounted my tunner in the sadlebag and routed the cables through a hole in the bottom that I drilled then added a rubber gromet. I used velcro to mount it. Doesn't take up a lot of room and works great. If I get into the mountains I will lose the signal sometimes but I have an Ipod shuffle that I can use.

I must be hard on tires because I got maybe 6k out of the rear tire this summer. I tow a trailer though and I ride hard. I can't help it though becuase I just love the sound of the RK pipes.

This is where a GPS comes in handy. Glad you were able to get help.
