Never mind it was early and I was looking at the wrong number.

Are the RSTD and the RSV the same? I'm trying to buy the y pipe and manuals have a different prefix. The RSTD has 4XY-14730-10-00. and I think the RSV starts with 4nk.

I agree with the last comment that the screws are very hard to see. My eyesight is not good up close and the one on the far side was hard for me to see. The way I ended up finding it was to look from the other side to see where it would be. Like someone else said I will be able to do it in 20 minutes or less next time now that I know where everything is. I think the reason they were out of wack so much is that I had the whole carb assembly off when looking for the fuel problem. I do all the work on the bike myself with the help from this forum. Also the exhaust leak wasn't helping.

Thanks for the replies. I just got done working on the bike for about 5 hours. Took the air box off and made sure that everything was seated right Its a real ***** getting them to all seat right but after a long battle I was able to do it. After I started up the bike and could hear some air leaking from the Harley slip ons even though they seemed tight so I took it off and clean it up and put it back on. It now ran a little better but still way out on the carb tune but was able to sync them and then I turned and turned and turn the screw to sync both banks and viola it runs like a dream. No backfire through the pipe and no vibes.

I have the carb tune. Bought it several years ago and this is the first time I have used it. I read all the instructions and stared doing it and one side seems normal but the gage is maxed out on the other side. I had the carbs off as one assembly when I was having a fuel problem which ended up being the fuel pump. Now I have a lot of popping from the left exhaust and that is the same side that the gauge is maxed out on. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

I went with whatever came in Skydoc's kit. It only slips in the 3rd and 4th gear if I really getting on to it.

I'm using Shell Rotella T6. I used it my Suzuki Intruder 1500 for 60 k and never replaced the clutch once. I didn't pull a trailer then though.
-
Are there adjustments to the clutch to stop the slipping without replacing it?
-
I tow a trailer quite a lot and I ride hard. It is starting to slip when I really get on to it.
-
I have 62 k on the bike and now I need to replace the clutch again. I got Skydoc's clutch kit before and it has worked well. Where can I find this to replace it.

The problem ended up being the fuel pump. Just wasn't strong enough to get fuel to the front carbs. Found this out after pulling the carbs and they were fine. Bowls were working and clean. Got the new one from Hondaeasttoledo off Ebay for $244 and all is well. Running a little rough though. May have to sync the carbs.

I bought one of those on Ebay for $15 and it didn't work right out of the box. Got my money back though.

Update. I now have good clean connections everywhere but that wasn't the problem. Pulled the plugs and they are getting spark. I have changed the fuel filter but it appears I'm not getting fuel to the front cylinders. Any suggestions. We finally have good weather for a while and the bike wont run. The two rear carbs have no suction when I put my hands over them.

It's funny because it had been running fine and I cleaned it yesterday and may have got some water somewhere I shouldn't have. I suspect it may be the TCI. I will check that tonight. Seems strange for to coils not to be firing at the same time. Thanks
-
I have the same problem. Both front cyl are not firing. Is the TCI common to both and where do I find this. I guess I could follow the coils backwards. What is a TCI?

I love the Indian Vintage but it is too rich for my blood. 23k.

Which model of BFG tire are you using. I know it is a 265/80/r15 but which model. Also a buddy mine used to run a VW tire. Anyone know which one works. This will be the first time I try the DS tire. Been thinking about it for years.

Lady Rider Needs Advice
hunter 1500 replied to Calliou's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
There is a thread in here about puting the Road King exhausts on and I followed that and they look and sound great when excelerating. Not too loud though. -
After trying this I couldn't wait to change back. I changed over about two years ago and haven't really liked it. Just didn't seem like it wanted to hold in the corners and when I was towing my trailer it felt like I didn't have much control. Felt really light in the front end. Yesterday I went back to the E3 on the front and have the Commander 2 on the rear and this combo works really well. After getting enough miles to wear the oil off it I put her through the twisty roads and it felt so much better. It was a breeze and really held through the corners. If you don't ride hard and just cruise along then I suppose it would work but if you like to ride hard like I do on occasion then I wouldn't suggest it. Opinions may vary this is just mine.

I got the whole works from Buckeye Motorsports. http://buckeyeperformance.com/

Your handling will suck. But you will look cool way behind everyone else.

Didn't really care for the looks from behind. From the side I like it. I will stick with the RSTD.
