14 of us rented a house that had two appartments in Snowshoe. We were up on top of the mountain and the ride in and out everyday was great. We went to the bridge over near Fayetteville and Seneca Rocks and many other places during our stay. Did the scenic hyway. That was about the straightest road we took all week. You can really fly on it. Never saw a cop all week except in the towns we went through. Probably a good thing.

All I can say is wow. Just got back last weekend from 6 days of riding in the hills of WV. I love twisties but there are so many there it got to the point where I was happy to see a straight road. The roads are in good shape and very little traffic making for some really great riding. The people were very friendly also. I highly recomend a trip there if you have never been there.

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Well that sucks. Not sure the reason but in this economy it's happens all to often lately. Some others I've known on forums had to do it because of health. Either way it sad to hear.

Yes I've got the clutch line and brake lines bled and the new throttle cables and handlebars on. Thanks to the nice people on this forum. I bought it all from Rick at Buckeye on recomendations from this forum. I have gotten a lot of good info from here and other forums and will continue to do so. This was all a last minute job as I am heading to Snowshoe WV for a week of riding your beautiful state. 14 of us from another forum (Intruder Alert) will be renting a house there.

Ok number one my bike is in my profile and I wouldn't be on here asking about anouther type of bike. Not only that but I had already thanked people that were helpful. Yes I was insulted only because I wouldn't think a Mod would make a comment like that. But I have thick skin and have been on motorcycle forums for years and have seen it all....

Smart Ass huh. Would you prefer Clutch lines or Clutch hoses.
-
Thanks for everyones help. Got the clutch bled and will do the brakes tomorrow.

If you know your going to go over your mileage then you should bring something with you to catch the oil and do it in a Walmart parking lot. Takes all of ten minutes. I have a thing made just for oil changes that has a funnel that threads on to the jug that will hold 5 quauts and the funnel fits into it and doesn't take that much room.

I plugged an almost new tire on anouther bike and ran it until it was worn out. It was in the center of the tire not on the side.

I needed to replace the tire on the front of my RSTD and had done the rear tire about a month ago. I used the Michelin Comander and really like the tire so I ordered the same for the front. Shop just about 200 yards from me ordered one and I made arrangements to have it mounted first thing in the morning so I could go riding afterward. I got back from running errands and stopped to pick it up and the owner told me the sticker on the tire said it was a front but it turns out it was the back tire. So he called the dist and they didn't have any fronts in the comander. It seems they are coming out with a comander II and have run their stock out and there are none available anywhere. So the owner ended up ordering a Dunlop elite 3 which is about 30 bucks more but gave it to me for the same price. Mounted it and put the tire back on last night. I hope I like this tire. Headed to WV for a week of riding the roads down there.

Might have put the gun in his mouth.

I had a noise in the rear end and through the tech library I figured out what it was. I had recently changed the rear tire and didn't loosen the bolts on the drive and put the axle in. After doing this and puting it back together I no longer have the noise.

I ordered mine right from Colorite and the match for the blue purple was perfect. Painted my fairing and it is hard to tell that it is not an oem fairing.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/hunter1500/th_TracyRoad001.jpg It's a great road. It's called Tracy Road and people will ride 100 miles just to ride that road. When I was going across the ferry there was a girl that had made that 100 mile ride just to go on it. She was riding a Kaw 1200r. You will notice about half way through the video a sportbike that was flying. I was doing up to 80 in some parts. The camera makes the turns look a lot less curvy then they are. Most are 25 to 35 mph and a couple are 20 mph.

+1 Perfect match on the Blueish Purple. Most think the fairing is a factory fairing.

I wondered if that was where it was. My LC1500 had the tank there also. Very small though. Only 4.2 gal and so I installed a aux tank where the muffler used to be. Gave me 6.7 gal.
-
I was thinking the same thing. Where is the gas tank?

Thanks for the links and all the info. Right now it is running great no poping ect. so I guess I'm good for now.

How hard is it to do with the Carb Sync? How do you know when the carbs need syncing?
-
I don't like the looks of that one as well and it costs about $130 more. I think I will wait. Thanks for the link though.

Never did a burnout just on the trottle in the turns and braking into them. On my LC1500 I got 8k on the Dunlop k555 180/15 tire. That was the best I got.
