  1. Yes it all depends on where you live and the type of riding you do. I know you have a lot of twisty roads in WV as I do here in VT and NY and I ride hard. If you ride like an old lady on straight roads like TX or any other state with straight roads they are going to last longer. If I get 8 k out of a rear I'm happy and about 12 to 16k out of a front. E3
  2. Yup they sure do work great.
  3. Road the Cross Country at Americade and loved it. Probably my next bike.
  4. I would like to see fuel injection on the RSV and a new RSTD.
  5. Same here. Drops a little riding 80 to 90 on interstate and I get 35 towing the trailer.
  6. I loved riding in WV last year. We were lucky and only had rain one morning. Great roads and really nice people. We stayed at Snowshoe Mt. in a house that a bunch of us rented.
  7. I've never got more than 8k out of a rear tire. Even the E3. But I ride a lot of twisty roads and tow a trailer quite a bit of the time.
  8. Boomer, did you read the link I put up. They are claiming you will be able to get 50,000 KM out of a rear tire. Your not going to get anywhere near that with an E3.
  9. That's what I have now but if I could get twice the mileage out of a tire priced the same I would have to go with it. I liked the ones I had before.
  10. I rode that model at Americade with the tall windshield and tour pack. I loved it. The ergos on the bike are great. Victory seems to listen to their customers and make improvements accordingly. It will no doubt be my next bike.
  11. I've had good luck and service with them. I would recomend them without even thinking about it.
  12. This might have already been posted but it's great news as far as I'm concerned. Here's a link to the article. http://www.michelin.com/corporate/EN/news/products/article?articleID=N20110823_cpN_commandeII_E
  13. Dont blame the dog. It's the owners fault for letting it run lose.
  14. I have the Kury Iso pegs and the vents and it puts your feet in the wind so it is no problem. The vents don't really help cool your feet but help keep them warm in the cold. Take it out to a parking lot and get used to it at slow speed. After you practice a little on it they handle pretty good. I do this every spring.
  15. When heading up this way I would suggest RT22 NY. Very nice road and a lot less traffic. It will take you right into VT.
  16. I just put the Odessy battery in mine this spring. The dealer replaced the old stock battery last year with a interstate battery and it was shot after one year. I had an Odessy battery in my last bike and never had a problem with it so that's what I bought.
  17. It is the grips that is making your hands tingle. I have changed every bike I owned over to the Kury Iso grips and it has always solved the problem. This year while demo riding bikes at Americade every bike I rode did this to my hand. Flanders bars will eliminate the pain in the upper back that you get from reaching too far. I changed mine last year and rode 650 miles one day without any issues. The items you ordered should do the trick. It did for me.
  18. Your right my bad. Wish I would have seen that before. I paid 170 mounted and balanced.
  19. Had a hard time finding the 16/90/150. I was going to order them online but couldn't find any so I ordered it from the shop down the road from me. He could only find 7 left from all their tire sorces. I didn't need it yet but ordered it and got it and paid for it so it is ready to go on when I do need it. I wonder if they are not going to sell that size anymore? The same thing happened with the Comanders I liked so much.
  20. Yes it does have one. I feel so stupid now. I looked at it last night and saw it right away.
  21. I have a pump made just for this but I didn't see a release valve on it. I'll have to check again. The one have is like the one in this post. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=40830&highlight=hand+pump
  22. I have an after market fairing and the radio is able to hook up to a Sirius tunner. I love it. The tunner is a box about 2x6x8 that hooks up to the radio. I ended up putting it in the saddle bag. It works well.
  23. I've seen quite a few posts on how much air to use ect but can't find anything on how to let some of the air out of the shocks. Last couple times I just took the hose off the pump and let it out but that's kind of a pain. Anyone got an easier way? Thanks in advance. Oh by the way this is on a 2008 RSTD.
  24. Two roads that are a must are Tracy road and Lincoln pond road. Both these roads have very little traffic especially Tracy road. Also the Blue ridge road and then take 28n over to 28 to rt 8 east. I ride these roads all the time and if I was going to be here I would give you a tour.
