So as many of you know when I bought my 03 RSV it had the stock mufflers on it. The guy I got it from had a GW before he bought this he had Sampson Fishtail mufflers that he put on but did not like them. Well today I took the saddlebags off to clean everything up really good and decided to go ahead and put the Fishtails on. It sounds GREAT to me a bit loud until you get to cruising speeds but I like it! I'm just wondering how much louder it will get with miles on them? So who out there can help me find a pump to adjust the air in my shocks? I read somewhere that it needs to be a certain type to be able to add and remove the PSI Thanks

I have the Sampson Fishtails already how hard is it to change them? Do I need to remove the saddlebags? It looked to me like I could get to everything with out taking anything off. Fill me in. Thanks

So as you might know I just got my 03 RSV and it now has stock exhaust I wanted to get it a bit louder but not real loud. Has anyone do any type mod to there exhaust. I got a pair of Sampsom Fishtails with the bike but was told they are LOUD!!!!

The picture shows the saddlebag chrome guard is not sitting right but I just pushed down on it and it looks fine now. I'm very happy with it! I did notice that twice when I let off the gas it was a slight what sounded like a back fire but was not loud. The radio sounds so much better than the GW I had I like it what more can I say!!!!!

So I went to check out the 03 Venture and too kit for a ride. The owner has a 92 Goldwing so he took me for a ride to follow him. A lot of curves etc I could not believe how nice it was!!!! Like I said I have owned a 01 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 classic, 3 different Honda VTX 1800 and a 94 Goldwing. This is a GREAT bike I know somw say it is op heavy but I did not think so. And as for the whine did not hear anything at all! It was a 250 plus mile ride back home and all I can say is I LOVE It!!!!!!!! The I bought the short windshield and the Sampson Fishtails mufflers I got around 45 miles per gal on the trip back. I never heard any of the whine the owner has a 92 GW with 93000 miles he said he could hear it but nothing I would think twice about! I lowered my VTX and put a 240 fat tire kit on it made a BIG difference. I also lowered my HD Roadking also made a world of difference. Thanks for your reply and I would like to hear more please. Why would raising it help it seems to me that lowering the center of gravity would help on any bike. Fill me in! Thanks

I also have read about the Yamaha WHINE!!!! I do not want a bike that makes so much noise that I can not enjoy it! That is why I'm looking for a nice touring bike with a radio and intercom to hear them and not the dreaded WHINE. Can it really be that bad???????? I will know on Tuesday. Thanks for your comment!

So I'm getting ready to buy my first Yamaha Royal Star Venture the guy has some Sampson Fishtail Mufflers and a Yamaha short windshield that he wants to sell me also. He wants $250.00 for everything my question is how loud are they? I don't really want something to loud to interferer with hearing the radio and intercom? Let me hears some input on this please and is it a good deal for the money? Thanks

UPDATE....... Well I have talked again with the guy that owns the bike he is a pastor in a church and he bought this to help out someone that had lost there job. He has a older Goldwing with like 98000 miles and was thinking about keeping the Yamaha. But after ridding it he says he liked it but his wife like the GW better and he has gotten so use to it he want to sell or trade the old GW for a new one. He told me I could get the Yamaha short windshield and the Sampson Fishtail mufflers for an extra $250.00 if I wanted them. he told me he took them off and put the stock stuff on when he got it because he did not like the extra sound. After being use to the GW. The rear tire is a Chinko I'm not sure if that is how to spell it or not. Anyhow he is holding it for me I'm going on Tuesday for a test ride with money in hand. If anyone else out there has any comments or things I should check or look for please reply. With 13700 miles what will be the next service I should do and is there a link to service info or recalls for the bike? Thanks Everyone!

I'm 6ft and my in seam is 32" I sat on one and I was flat footed with a bend in my knees. I was kind of shocked with the weight they did not have a reverse like my GW did. The GW really seemed to be wide when I stopped and put the feet down. I was reading where you can add some type of kit to the rear shock and it made it handle better. Any input on this from you all?
