So when I start my 01 RSV and it is not warmed up I hear a ticking like an exhaust leak or maybe lose valves. But I thought the valves got tight with time and mileage. I have 14,000 miles on it and don't know if the valves have ever been checked or adjusted. So what could it be and what should I do? After about 3 mins the sound stops.

So I did a PCW clutch upgrade kit on my last RSV what and where can I find more info on the SkyDoc's upgrade? Thanks

Thanks everyone I guess this is a kinda common problem. I needed a quick fix so I went with JB Weld and it seems to be a good product only $5.20 and I reinforced it good. I hope this is the last I worry about this side!

My right side lower cowling to the right of the rad. and blocks the wind from your leg. And covers the air breather. It is broke from the mounting bracket. Anyone know of a good glue or epoxy I can use to try and fix it?

I have an 01 RSV and I could also if I took the rear fender off with out doing that I would like to know how you do it! Reply and tell me how you do it and I don't have a center stand either. Thanks

Well I finished doing the rear tire change it was not bad easier than other bikes I've done. But I must say coming up with a way to get the bike lifted on the jack was the hardest part! I'm going to have to get me or make a lift adapter! New tire and checked the brakes and greased up everything now I'm ready to go!!!!!!!!

I changed the rear tire on my RSV and it was a pain to get lift it? I saw this adapter on ebay anyone out there have it? Or a blueprint to make one like it? Or maybe one they want to sell? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LOOK-YAMAHA-ALL-VENTURE-ROYALSTAR-JACK-LIFT-ADAPTER-/250880210107?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a69a034bb

Whitlow replied to Whitlow's topic in Watering Hole
I have had several people contact me about my RSV the only thing I can say is if you are interested then get your money together and make me a offer. Offering an amount is okay I will look at ALL OFFERS if you have money in hand! Or I can sell with out some of the items like extra speakers, windshield, pipes etc. Money Talks so feel free to offer if you have the money to buy. Thanks If someone wants the bike with out all the extras I will sell them separately. speakers windshield pipes hand pump J&M headset Bike with out the above items $8000.00 -

I feel that the price I'm asking for the bike is very fair if it were bone stock with no extras! So all the added items are a real nice addition to a super nice bone stock RSV! Take them or leave them but I'm sure the person that get it will be one VERY HAPPY person. -

I'll take $8300.00 for it with everything but the Sampson Fishtails, New Clearview Windshield, and Poke Speakers. Or $8500.00 with everything take a look at everything listed someone will get a GREAT bike and be smiling for a long time! Nice bike but over 2 times the mileage of mine and I don't know how much more wear and tear pulling a trailer does on these bikes but it has to add up to something. That is a nice looking bike I agree! Not as many extras as mine and I also have Riser/Pullback ext. on my handlebars. -

Thanks V7Goose for all the info I never knew about the different places to check on values. That is why I have always tried to find great forums to be a member of and this is one of the best.
